Yeah, 8 GB. Didn't bother to replace it when I replaced my CPU+board last year, this kit is now some 4.5 years old or so, don't see the point in replacing it Smile

But that shouldn't prevent this game from running. Sorry, but it doesn't look good enough to warrant it crashing; and it's not actually running out of memory, the game itself only went up to 5.4 GB with still 1 GB of RAM left. They simply count on you having a massive pagefile or something and access it directly, which is beyond retarded.

Just for good measure though, I'm on an i7-4770K at 4.5 GHz, 8 GB of DDR3-1600 and a GTX 970 running at idontevenfuckingremember. There's no way in hell that this piece of shit should eat up 3.5 GB of VRAM *and* 5.4 GB of RAM *and* then crash because it doesn't have enough Laughing

I think it's been mentioned already but that only disables the post-process version of the "CA" effect, it's still in full effect in-game as part of the lighting shaders as far as I've tested.
(Which includes the new version of the mod.)

It says motion blur needs to be on, and I have it on, but it must be really subtle because I can't see it. Either way, that shitty CA effect is gone. It looks so much better. I don't feel like I need glasses to see the game now.

How big is your swap file compared to your RAM? I had the same problem on win8, on a lot of games, even ridiculously old ones that require little to no ram.
I solved by manually setting the swap file to 1gb more than my amount of physical RAM.

Try not running away but pressing back+space several times. You kinda jump/dodge back real fast. It will still hurt you but the damage will be reduced.

I'm usually able to vault the booming guy and jump on a roof or something... maybe expect when it's dark, especially in corridors, I don't see that he's the exploding one and whack him across the head... insta kill Very Happy

Yea i do that when i have time to react. But most of the times it shows breaking some door in the middle of fight or just when i make final blow to some zombie and i can't do shit.

I thought it was odd how the stadium can be seen from nearly any location in the game but you couldn't actually access it.

I'm not sure what effects you mean exactly, but here's what I'm referring to (as in this effect bugged me the most):

After mod

The blurry shitty CA effect around the left/right side of the screen are (or were) annoying as hell.



That's not the same result I'm getting, interesting.


EDIT:

So it took some adjustments to that shader file but I got it to work in the end. Smile
(Seems to have nearly entirely eliminated the "CA" effect although it does slightly alter the games visuals in addition to that but it's a acceptable tradeoff for now.)
