played a bit and i like it. It sure has potential. But there isn't really much sense "playing" as of now. Once you've build a shelter and a bed, maybe the motor ... that's pretty much it. There isn't anything else to do but to eat and drink lol.
That's the issue with all survival type games, even Minecraft (unmodded, of course). There is always the point where you have everything you need to survive and the game becomes boring.
well, this is just build 0.02 Alpha, so i think there will be more to come (especially more items to find and craft) as well as more dangers (or actual danger, period hehe). And a potential way to "finish" the game (aka escape or something).

Periods is going to be a danger?
If you get one in shark infested waters, it could be lethal
There must have been a door there in the wall, when I came in.
Truly gone fishing.
Survial game Stranded Deep, which is currently available for PC via Steam Early Access, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 9, publisher Telltale Publishing and deveoper Beam Team Games announced.
so far no clue if Steam's v1.0 also launches at the same date
Once the console version is released we'll transition over the new stuff to the PC version. One of the most important things that we've been working on is the end-game. BT has also been working on a split-screen coop mode in the background which is almost ready and should be released on PC soon..
...
By "new stuff" we're talking new animals, shipwrecks, etc; Things that have been added by the other dev team and translate 1:1 from console to PC.
Obviously there will be a small time frame in between for us to implement the new things the dev team has added or the things we've been working on in tandem (we're talking weeks, not months).
It was very important to us that there would be no content disparity between PC and console.
...
The PC version is near completion. Anyone who has a problem with that, needs to reevaluate their expectations for a 2 man team.
Some people are inventing a scenario where the console is finished and the PC version continues on in EA hell. To be clear, once the console version is released both versions will feature the same content within weeks. The console version will continue to receive any important PC updates.
