Dunno but this will be the last season i will play, feels so damn shallow (like couple shit legendaries as exclusive and retarded looking transmog set -.-?). Game itself is awesome, but for those crappy rewards I'm not going next time re-level and redo all fucking gear on my barbarian (feels like you had ferrari but suddenly it turned into lada). Blizzard really needs to think again how this season stuff is meant to be done.
EDIT: gotta love mac auto correct

Playing as HC seasonal wizard. It's fun to play after a longer break.

I'll keep at it for a while, I always loved Seasons in D2. Endgame never really appealed to me, but the climb up... hell yeah. It's a shame they essentially eliminated item trading, that was always a blast in a fresh season in d2.
I sometimes wonder if the auction house would be more worthwhile now, after they had fixed the loot system and one can find great items on his own.

Love this game, but yes...something essential is missing. i guess some kind of pvp would make it more enjoyable to grind loot.

It wouldn't come as a complete surprise if they decided to make Diablo 3 F2P in Asian countries, but made money through micro-transactions.

maybe it would be indeed so:
Microtransactions in Diablo 3 will not apply to western market

no any sane human would believe in that |
what?
no sane human would NOT believe that. it's common knowledge that games that have low requirements and feature some kind of online component are many times more popular than AAA big budget games. you just have no idea how little of PC gamers there are who care about AAA games like crysis, witcher, assassins creed, batman etc.
let's compare some of PC's recent AAA titles to Dota2 and CSGO, shall we? i warn you this will be pathetic
Top games by current player count
Current Players 607,545 Peak Today 1,193,305 Game Dota 2
Current Players 112,637 Peak Today 394,677 Game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
....
Current Players 3,661 Peak Today 10,966 Game Dying Light
Current Players 3,239 Peak Today 8,700 Game Evolve
maybe this will open yours and other peoples eyes what pc gaming is about and what most pc gamers care about. AAA gaming on PC is actually a niche market

I'm surprised that people are actually surprised about this... I thought it was common knowledge by now. The number of players of F2P (LoL, Hearthstone...) or easily accessible games (remember that D3 was basically given for "free" to all WoW players who subscribed for a year) is much higher than the number of players in games like Dying Light or AC. One of the reasons is that the latter category of games are only played for a short time (by most say one month), after which there is little to do in these game.

Patch 2.2.0 just went live.
Changelog:
Spoiler: | Patch 2.2:
Everything New and Important.
Auto-pickup (sort of). Clicking a material or gem will pick up all other materials or gems of the same type within 20y radius. (The items that auto-pickup streak towards you and vanish with a swooshing graphic.)
Crafting Gems or other items now does the entire stack at once. A great time-saver, but be sure you don’t accidentally turn 300 Imperials into 100 Flawless Imperials, etc.
Potions are gone. Normal red potions no longer exist and are not dropped. Players have an inherent potion ability that works just the same (60% of max hit points, 30s cooldown), and all Legendary Potions work the same as before.)
Gift of Ramaladni now stacks to 100. (This epitome of a “First World Problem” QoL tweak even got a joke from Wyatt Cheng last night.)
More UI Buffs. Lots of new properties show up as buffs in the belt, including a counter of active Sentries for Demon Hunters using Marauder’s set.
New Nephalem Rift tilesets. Act One’s Festering Woods and Fields of Misery, Act Two’s Stinging Winds, and Act Three’s Fields of Slaughter all appear as randomized levels in Rifts now, and all are great; big open areas with high density. Lots of other tilesets in Rifts have random layout improvements as well. Hamelin the Rat-King.
Hamelin the Rat-King.
New Rift Guardian: Hamelin the Rat King now spawns randomly as a Guardian. Details about his abilities here. Beware his impermeable Rat Corral!
There’s also an Easter Egg with a Josh Mosqueira rift guardian who spawns very rarely, but still seems to have some bugs.
Greater Rift completion now pops up a full-screen congratulations banner that pretty much everyone hates. Improvements have been promised.
Blood Shards maximum capacity increases by 10 per GR# of your highest solo Grift clear. So clear GR20, and your maximum increases to 700, GR35 up to 850, etc. Postpone your Rare weapon gambling slightly longer!
Three new Treasure Goblins. Adventure Mode only, and all are rarely seen.
The Gilded Baron drops nothing but gold, and lots of it.
The Insufferable Miscreant spawns with minion goblins that run interference/distraction and drops better quality than a normal Goblin.
The Gelatinous Sire splits into 2 or 3 smaller versions of itself when killed, and those split into 2 or 3 again, so you wind up with 7-9 tiny GS goblins, all of which move quickly and drop like a normal goblin when killed.
No more Cursed Cellar powerleveling. Farnham the zombie now spawns in the entrance hallway, and he’s got nasty Elite Affixes to instantly obliterate Gem of Ease-wearing free-riders. Details here.
New Item Sets. (Click through for full details on the new sets.)
Wrath of the Wastes. Barbarian, Rend and Whirlwind.
Unhallowed Essence. Demon Hunter. Multishot.
Delsere’s Magnum Opus. Wizard, Slow Time bubbles + Arcane Orb, Energy Twister, Magic Missile, and Shock Pulse buffs.
Buffed “Vanilla” Sets. All the D3 class item sets have added items (all are seven pieces now) and new, big, powerful, six-piece bonuses.
Immortal King’s Call — Barbarian. Huge buffs to Wrath of the Berserker and Call of the Ancients.
Natalya’s Vengeance — Demon Hunter. Rain of Vengeance focused set.
Inna’s Mantra — Monk. Mystic Ally huge buffs.
Zunimassa’s Haunt — Witch Doctor. Big buffs to Fetish Army.
Tal Rasha’s Elements — Wizard. Huge buffs to Meteor via different types of elemental skills.
Other Buffed Sets. Firebird’s Finery, Raiment of a Thousand Storms, Raiment of the Jade Harvester, Bul-Kathos’s Oath, and Roland’s Legacy retained the same themes, but were considerably buffed. Bastions of Will (Focus and Restraint rings) reworked and given powerful damage buffs. Crafted sets Captain Crimson’s Trimmings and Guardian’s Jeopardy given huge buffs to their Life Regen rates.
New Legendary Items: There are 24 new legendary items, including Legendary Gems and Legendary Potions, most of which are Season 3 only. Click through for full details.
Buffed Legendary Items: There are 20 old legendary items (not including the Sets listed above) with big buffs to their legendary affixes. Click through for full details.
All the item set bonuses are retroactive, though changes to specific set items and legendary items are not, and players will need to find new versions of those items to get the new bonuses. All set changes are available to all, while most of the new legendary items are Season Three only.

Quote: | BLIZZARD IS REMOVING RIFT TRIALS FROM DIABLO 3
116 Addition by subtraction.
BY MIKE MAHARDYBlizzard has begun the process of removing Rift Trials from Diablo III, one of the game's designers said on a recent Twitch broadcast.
Rift trials compose a mini-game in which players fight waves of enemies for increasing rewards –– the longer players survive, the better the Greater Rift key they receive, which grants access to higher-level rifts (endgame content with better rewards). But according to Wyatt Cheng, Blizzard senior technical game designer, nobody likes the tedious rift trials.
"The Trials are not good," he said during a Twitch broadcast, which Reddit user jmdbcool transcribed. "We don't like them. I don't like them." Cheng said the rift trials were a necessary part of Diablo III's evolution, but that their time is nearing its end.
Blizzard Comments on Diablo 3 Microtransactions - IGN News
00:53
"It solved a problem that we had before," he said. "And, I don't want to defend Trials. I'm not going to defend Trials. I think that it is the latest in a sequence of events... and Trials will be getting removed from the game. I can't tell you when. I can tell you that we already don't have Trials in our internal builds. We've been playing around with it and testing it, and we are committed to removing them." |
