The game requires a Shader Model 1.3 or better card, so a GF4Ti will not work at all (which is why the min system reqs say fx5200/Radeon 8500). |
Arg, the same shit as with BF2

But the GF4Ti has shader model 1.3.. it doesn't have vertex shader 1.3 tough, only 1.1, but you're apeaking about which? pixel or vertex shaders?

Whichever one causes the screen to be entirely black when you try to play the game on a Ti4400. I tested it myself on a machine that still has an ancient card in it. Like Red_Thunder said, it's the same shit as BF2 and X3: Reunion.

yeah, have some cheese, on that note we should all be using 368's, no need to upgrade stuff that plays doom fine. 3D graphics is just hype, it will be over soon. And you will all see the splendor of 2d 8bit graphics.

Thx for the cheese but.. your not getting what I mean, the GF4Ti are still good cards, it's like ie: you buy a new top of the line card and then after a couple months they decide to change shader models drastically for some game, your card would still play the game pretty damn fine but it won't because they simply didn't put support for your shader version, that's not fair, not everyone has big bucks to invest on a card that gets outdated this way, my old Riva TNT was really old and runned like crap on most games but this is not the case with the GF4.

i bet you would thinknothing of getting drunk at the weekend and blowing £40 on alcohol yet 2 months of this would buy you a top-end gfx card.

First FUCK YOU the GF4 is STILL a good card, I didn't said awesome or very good but GOOD, what defines a bad card? I suppose one that plays most games like shit, this is not the case. I don't drink and I don't work yet either I'm finishing school and getting a job around these parts isn't the easiest thing, and I can't ask mommy or daddy to buy me anything I want

Your witty answer should have been "get a job in another country". |
Perhaps your right, but indeed if it's that bad in whatever country it is, the european parliament should look at it, as part of eu's function is equality.

Played a little bit of it. Decent so far. Graphics aren't good but I don't really care. Controls perfectly fine (but I use my Logitech Dual Action pad). Runs fine. Then again I didn't change the resolution. Just played the first mission where you gotta escape from that building. Also for training I beat the agent but died against Seraph (mainly because I had no health left as soon as that fight started) and got the normal difficulty.

the game is disgusting, lots of glitches in the lighting and shaders, textures are frankly ps2, they didnt even bother themselves to take out the 'press X' instead of click and 'use the anolouge stick left' its a polished turd, the characters while one second look fine (as fine as fine can be in this crapola) the next minute they are wrapped in seran wrap and look utterly ridiculous. For some reason the developers seemed to want to give everyone brain tumours by coating the screen in what appears to be lard, I thought I was drunk at one point when an entire cutscene was blurred beyond belief. The nice fluid fighting effects are good but they dont make up for the absolute monumental amout of glitches/bugs/clipping/crap textures and shaders in this stinking PORT of a game. I thought it couldnt get any worse than Enter the matrix, seems I was completely wrong .

GF4 debate aside, this game is too friggin ugly to not run on old hardware. While I'd normally agree that complaining about a 4 year old card not running a current game is pretty silly, in this case it's clearly just a lazy ass port job. Yay for consoles.

Played another level of the game. Love the kung-fu fighting part of the game. Turned the res all the way up and it looks a bit better but not much. Still runs smooth for me. I enjoy the game so far.

My soundcard is compatible, as is my gfx card, the game runs smooth, except for the sound

Yea sometimes I hear some weird sound glitches. Like I'll just hear a weird clipping noise every now and then.

The graphics are definitely not the strong point of this title. It's a shame most people can't get beyond this aspect.
Yeah I managed to beat agent smith after a few (read: 5) tries. I am THE ONE!

Yea look at all the posts here that are like "The graphics suck! Worst Game Ever!!" not everything is about graphics people. I finished all the training stuff. On the mission in the house after you visit the Oracle. The training stuff took a while and after bit it started to get annoying and I wanted to get into the levels based on the movie. Still fun though.
