Denmark with it's 43 000 square kilometers simply cannot be expected to house hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants. It's not a matter of good will, any politician that doesn't realise this is a danger to his country.

No problem, I'm willing to bet Sweden will take them over. We got the space and need something to hide the deep xenophobia that most have over here.

The same can be said about the UK.
I lived in Margate a popular weekend retreat for many in London in its heyday. The Mid 80's early 90's saw the town basically fall into Slum Land, with migrants and cheap labour filling every available bed and breakfast across the Island of Thanet.
Cheap migrant workers basically finished off the town completely well what was left after Thatcher killed the UK.
The Benefit system was just abused by all and sundry. Now 20 years later Margate is still a fucking hole with no way to ever recover. Empty house's, factory's, industrial estates all gone due to people having to move to find decent paying jobs, and just no money.
Now look at Calais the French demanded money from the UK to defend their borders against people trying to get here. But its only been in the past few months that the UK government has passed that no migrant is able to claim any social/housing benefit. But its a broken system they just claim asylum and with that taking anywhere upto 10 years to resolve they still get money from the state.
Im not saying people should be treated the way they are obviously being treated in Spain/Morocco. But i saw what an influx of very cheap labour did to my own home town and many others around the UK.
A country's social welfare system should not be an excuse for these people to just to claim because they made it to pastures greener. I do NOT tar all migrants with the same brush mind, i have a few migrant friends as well, they work hard and have NEVER claimed one penny from the government, to me they earned their right to be here, as i see so many unemployed teens from the UK in towns just acting like assholes, and will never be bothered to do anything with their lives and cause they are from the UK, you guessed it, they get all the welfare for doing fuck all..

New story to show as evidence why this wild immigration needs to stop or laws need to be a LOT stricter:
My colleague owns a student house in Ghent with 5 rooms. Since this year, new fire regulations meant he could no longer let those buildings until he made renovations so since september last year, the building has been empty.
A week ago, the architect tried to visit the building to take measurements for the renovations and an illegal family was living there. The woman phoned someone and 5 minutes later 3 big guys showed up to kick him out of the building.
So my colleague asked what he could do about these illegal tenants and the reply was staggering: nothing. The police would not remove them, he was not allowed to threaten them, he was not allowed to turn off the electricity and water (!!!) and the ONLY solution was going to court meaning a lot of fees to have them removed.
And there you see the fucked up nature of Belgium. You can break into a house and live there until the court removes you. No-one else can force you to leave.

That he needs to go to court to get the people evicted seems natural, but why isn't he able to get the power cut down? And what happens if he doesnt pay?

He went to a pitta bar a few houses over and they warned him not to mess with them since they were part of a larger family that was squatting around the city and that they're big trouble.
Calling the police won't help - squatters cannot be removed unless by court order (!!!) and there's also NO fine or punishment for squatting. At most you can sue them for any damage done but his lawyer told him that suing illegals is a waste of time.
So basically:
- they can squat all they want
- he can do fuck all unless he forks over at least €2.000 in lawyer and court costs to get them evicted
- any electricity or water they use, he has to pay for
So if you're a burglar, and you don't want to get caught, just take a sleeping bag with you and when the police catches you, say you were squatting and they can't touch you Belgium = land or retarded socialist politicians.

It shouldn't be natural having to go to court. It should be illegal, full stop. All it should take, is for the police to come in and kick them out. Why do you need a judge for that?
And why he can't cut off the power? Because the PS (Walonian social party) are corrupt crooks who have spent decades defending immigrants and welfare moochers because that's where they get the most votes from - they made it so there's a law that no-one can be without heating, water or electricity even if you're in someone else's home .
Heck, did I mention he's not even ALLOWED in his own building until court orders the squatters to be removed? It's called "huisvredebreuk" which basically means invading someone else's home - and that goes for squatters too *facepalms*

Well those costs are returned to him if he wins the case tho.. So they are only temp costs.
But yes, shit is fucked up. Immigrants have better regulations and laws protecting them than own citizens do...
Like here, healthinsurance for migrated workers is like €69 a month, no own risk, no own fee.
Normal people, get the same insurance for ~€120 a month, own risk (depending on what, average 25%) and the first €350 you try to claim are for your own wallet..

It should be taken to court or else you could just evict paying tenants by just calling the cops and saying that they're squatting.
And it has nothing to do with protecting immigrants or squatters but actual citizens who don't wish to get buttfucked by their landlord for whatever reason.

Who would pay those costs? The illegal immigrants? Also, even if they did have the money to pay back, it would only cover part of the costs.

Calling the cops won't do anything as I already said - in Belgium cops can't do anything about squatters without a court order. Do a Google search if you don't believe me.

You are one delusional guy I already linked before and you just decided to ignore it. I learned years ago that it's pointless to argue with twats like you because any point made will just get ignored so I won't.

There are other arrangements if they can't pay it no doubt he will get money back, and why only part of the costs? Here the losing party pays ALL costs, and i thought the justice system in Belgium wasn't much different when it comes to that.

He can do a lot more than you are saying tho, the cops inaction would be the same towards him.
And yes he can disconnect water and electricity if he's paying... the power/water company can't deny them basic needs, but that is their problem... so he can make it so he doesn't pay a dime.
I'm just amazed how much of a pushover he's being. Or don't they have balls in East-Flanders?

That's what I mean.
If the cops could just evict anyone without going through the courts you would have 'dirty' landlords doing all kinds of crazy shit towards paying tenants.
So it's good that there is a system in place.

Electricity isn't basic here tho, here they will cut your power if you didn't pay or other reasons, winter or no winter...

In Belgium you have a minimum amount for each week. Used to know the amount, but after 2 years in Sweland it slipped my mind. It was sufficient enough to get you by (not to use the pc all the time or watch a lot of TV ).
