Navigate the masked deceptions and deadly magic of a vividly Venetian city in this fully voiced pause-for-tactics RPG.
In the turmoil-ridden Citte della Ombre, religion holds no sway. Only the songs sung of one’s deeds will carry an Ombrian’s legacy beyond death. Those who hold even the smallest morsel of power will make every effort to ensure their songs live on.
This has perpetuated a culture of inequality between the power-hungry guildsmen known as the Masquerada and the impoverished lower classes, the Contadani. A prolonged civil war, ignited by Contadani rebels who steal Mascherines from the Masquerada, has only drawn scars of mistrust across the Citte since.
One of Ombre’s finest sleuths, Cicero Gavar, was exiled for a crime against the state five years ago, but he is now summoned back to Ombre to solve the mysterious kidnapping of the diplomat Razitof Azrus. As other members of the Masquerada join his investigation, all having their doubts about one another within this culture of deception, their faith will be pushed to the limit as a deeper conspiracy lurks in the shadows of Ombre.

Looks good, the art and visual style is good: clean, simple, consistent. However, battles a bit hard to read to me right now, hope it will be improved. Some voice acting at least for important cutscenes/scene would work too.
What the actual fuck? Over a year in development already, several gameplay trailers, now a "teaser" that the game isn't actually coming... it's going to be a KS? Eghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I tried it, looks awesome, couldn't play properly Seems to be one of those games that detects the PS4 controller appropriately - button icons and all - but that conflicts with InputMapper and so the controller doesn't actually work Secondly, because it detects a controller in the first place, it only displays controller icons and not k/m.
It certainly looks gorgeous though.
Disabling IM fixes the controller and it seems to play pretty well, I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of the KS
I've played for about an hour, seems alright so far. The graphics are a little too flat, the UI is annoying and the combat way too hack & slash for my expectations, but other than that it is promising. The story is intriguing if you can deal with all the Italian/French names and can process the huge amount of information thrown in a short amount of time. The voice acting is good and the dialogues are welll written and juicy despite not having any choices. I didn't dive too much into the skill system, since the interface was a total turn off, but there seems to be quite some options to build your character. There is also party AI for those who don't want to bother with micromanagement.
I'll have more time to spend with the game this weekend, but by then it will be released. Anyway, it seems pretty promising, but I've said that before for average games after playing for 1 hour.
I finished it, the story was pretty good, the gameplay not so much. It's not exactly an RPG per se, it's more like an action game with some RPG elements and a lot of text but without c&c.
