If I'll purchase the CIS version will I have to use VPN every time I launch the game, or just like the description on plati says: "ATTENTION!! This game only needs to be activated with a VPN IP. After that it´s REGION FREE, without any restrictions!! - We provide you with an easy guide! ".

I understand will have to use VPN only upon activation and that's it, right?

You can check on steamdb.info for region locks: https://steamdb.info/sub/61598/

Under known restrictions:
"This item is only purchasable in..." -> VPN needed to activate
"This item can only be run in..." -> VPN needed to play

So if it stays the same you should only need the vpn to activate.

Watching these streams and LPs from Quill&co, I'm more and more convinced that it was a good purchase. ^^

Why did you preorder it in the first place? Why not wait? Now would already be a better time, since you have seen actual gameplay, no? Smile

So tempted to pre-purchase this. Think I will wait though. hopefully the price will still be sensible on release as Greenman etc, one more week Sad

I posted above the greem man gaming price which I thought was fairly decent at $21.89 and just a couple dollars more than nuuvem. Do you think it will drop lower? I'm 50/50 on pre-purchasing this.

Ah, but i am sadly in the UK. I would not get it for the equivalent of $21.89. The cheapest I have seen it was about £19.00 which is certainly not as low as $21.89. I will try before I buy anyway. Been bitten too many times buying promising games that turn out crap, although i must admit this looks sound.

He's not that better in the game though. You've got to be patient with this type of games. Start with a small area and then expand in a good pace.
Anyway, we just need someone who will "stress" the game mechanics. I'll wait for post release game analysis by some experienced players and then buy it.

Now that city looks good. the highway and rails are like he drew them with his eyes closed on a rollercoaster..but the city part looks way better done than any streams so far.

Partially and I misread what you wrote. I thought you were suggesting that it was okay to pre-order now. Pre-orders are pretty much never okay, especially in this genre lately, and especially from this company.

Despite the success and relative enjoyment of CiM1, there were still a lot of outstanding issues with that game. The Devs focused on overpriced DLC, and minor cosmetic changes rather than address key issues with CiM1. With CiM2, they fixed none of the issue, basically gave everyone the cold shoulder and they were like "Oh hey Cities Skylines, give us more of your money we promise this time it'll really really be okay"

Yeah. Makes no sense. Unless special reasons, like hardware goodies or whatever.
But just for a game? No, especially on a piracy forum the notion of just shelling out money for something extremely vague is even more nonsensical Smile

Nice, this convinced me Smile

There are of course the usual city building annoyances, like having a university will cause all citizens to become highly educated over time (as if everyone has that ambition), and road building seems a bit quirky to say the least, but at least now I know there's also a game behind it Very Happy
