Illustrator is best for this. I always use it when I buy furniture. One meter = 1cm and you're set.

there is a window next to the TV, and exactly where you put it, is the door to the outdoor..

If you're quick in learning, the best place to do this stuff, is Second Life. You can build just about any apartment in an hour time using real meters.
