Nice, thanks for the info. I tried to look shit up and read before making a decision but every laptop I was seeing for gaming had some obnoxious downside to it.
Eventually came to this Razer and it really only complained about money, so I went for it. I do enjoy the size/slimness and all, but I'm sure that's not unique to this laptop.
All in all, it's a super solid machine that I don't have any huge fault with, and it's been running great. It's annoying to have wasted some money but, at least it's a solid machine..
I think it was like $2500 in the end.
Appreciate the info though, I barely know anything about laptops used for gaming (and I'm fully aware that it's almost an oxymoron), but I'm just too mobile right now, can't use a desktop.

Asus makes a bunch of awesome gaming laptops that could stomp all over it.
Hell for the money you paid, you should be playing on a Sager....those are by far the best laptops around, you can upgrade them as well. If you haven't heard of Sager...then you didn't do your research.
Could have gotten yourself the NP9570.

@Deelix: I can't give you the precious golden masterrace card just yet, because you must earn it first through years and years of PC exclusives, Goat Simulators and Forever Early Access games, but I applaude the purchase because it's a step into the right direction
A tiny, yet important step. We're currently crafting you the tinfoil badge that will be upgraded later this year to a wooden one if you'll prove yourself a worthy PC gamer!
Then there will be the official Crocker test 1.0, involving games running randomly at 30fps/motionblur=on and 60fps without motion blur, and if you'll be able to guess the right answers, the copper masterrace badge will be yours.
The final steps will involve respectively:
1) Posting a short youtube video where you destroy your gamepad and swear not to use it anymore for the time being;
2) Posting a second youtube video where, with a hammer (or equivalent), you cut the ties with your dirty past and put an end to your now-useless consoles.
This will finally grant you the golden masterrace card   |
