I have suffered no animation problems, or any other issues. Game runs nice and has all the mechanics from ac4. honestly not seeing how people can say its worse than liberation. Especially when many people consider it the best of last year's ac games. I'd say if u liked ac4 at least give it a go.

I mean... Even I didn't complete Liberation.
But only because of a game-breaking bug, I would have completed it otherwise, the story seemed interesting.

I guess we have to disagree then. I though liberation was a cash grab in every sense. non involving gameplay, cookie cutter filler dialogues and quests, 0 soul.
Even when taking into consideration the platform of origin. I can't recommend it to anyone outside of die hard series fans that need to play everything.
AC 3 had a cool setting, awesome present day desmond scenes, and the best villain character in the series.

I'll go with that, which is why I'm happy he's back in Rogue. As well as other AC characters from previous games.

Just installed this Rogue experiment and played for a bit, to have an idea, it's...a weird hybrid. AC3 meets Black Flag, like a Frankenstein ass creed, albeit graphically speaking it's closer to the former (not very pleasant to the eye, resulting in outdated lighting and textures for today's standards).
The overall presentation isn't that great either, feels quite cheap and somewhat rushed to be honest (not as much as Liberation did, but close enough), and being a straight port of the PS360 version isn't helping, it's like oddly going back in time.
Though I guess it still could be alright, providing that the missions aren't boring and there isn't too much tailoring and cinematic awesomebuttoming later on. It's not a disaster, but I definitely don't see it reaching the same level of entertainment as Black Flag.

Game looks nice only at the beginning because of the snow, after that you have a bland, ugly, sunny summer time with no weather changes which results the game looking very outdated

I've noticed recently that your PC upgrade made you a graphics whore Stefan7
first you told me witcher 1 is unplayable cause of graphics, and now this.
Someone needs to lock you up in a room with a Wii to give you some perspective on what bad graphics are.

Bad graphics? Pfft, play some 1$ titles on Steam and Xbox Marketplace, even thinking about it gives me stroke.

my old pc played ac3 very good and i dont remember being this ugly, but playing rogue after unity kinda sucks. its not just the graphics...even the story and voice acting sucks
i dont mind the bad graphics but i at least want a better story and voice acting, which witcher 1 didnt had any

The last AC that I played was black flag. AC games always seem fun for me at first, but quickly lose their appeal. Anyway, let's say I'm in the mood for another AC game now - would you recommend Rogue or Unity? Which of these has more RPG elements (i.e., upgrades/unlocks and the like)?

Unity, if you can get used to the bad performance.

I must say, i like this franchise, i think its the only game that tried to be cultural, with all the historical bakcgrounds and references, while trying to be fun at the same time, it does fall into the same iteneration with a few things added each year, the graphics are always slighty improved but the game looks the same for the most part, the first 4 games look almost the same, AC3 they changed the engine a bit, ac4 they addded a few things, unity is suposed to be a new engine, although from what i can tell its the facial expressions and some light effects that rly shine.
That beeing said, Rogue so far to me feels better and more like a proper assassins creed game, than unity, and i guess many others share that view, unity to me strays way too much from the formula to try to be something different and you can already tell it does not work, i though black flag brought a lot of variaty to the gameplay, but many ppl also didnt like that it didnt had a lot to do with assassins and was more of a pirate game, but the rest of the stuff delivered imo and thats more important to me, but unity failed in all these aspects, not to mention the port and the game itself is broken.
Most franchises that are successful will became eventualy the same thing over time, you can whine all you want about this one but there are other franchises that do a lot less in each iteneration.
In a lot of ways i wouldnt call it so early to kill this franchise just because its kinda delivering most of the same stuff everytime, they just need some better optimization, they are unique games, there are a lot of open world games, most of them i find it boring after a while, (looking at DA.I) but this game, i still think it has the right ammount of story/stuff to do without it losing its way in the open world, it always has the right balance between those two imo.

You can hide most if not all of the HUD minus a few objective prompts from what I've tested so far, personally I prefer to only keep the health and weapon wheel, health isn't terribly important as it pretty clearly tells you when you are low on health but the weapon wheel can be very handy in order to know what exactly you currently have equipped, particularly with smaller side weapons and such.

I always wanted to play AC games without the hud, but i'd always encounter numerous objectives that would require mind reading to know what and where needs to be done without the hud, and the map was never practical to use.

Wut? Unity strays from the forumula? Rogue is a proper AC game?
You sure you didn't mix the two up?
If anything, it's Unity that went back to its roots as a game with proper(but could be improved) assassination missions. Both Rogue and Black Flag are pirate games set in the same universe as other AC games and could have been so much better had they completely ditched the Assassin's Creed part and made proper pirate games.

True, you couldn't use the blades as a main weapon. Which sucked. And there were plenty other things in Unity that sucked. Not including the performance.
However, the Precursor race, the artefacts and mysteries are nothing but a backdrop, a setting for the characters. They are NOT the main focus of the game.
Assassinating people IS. Whether it's for political or personal reasons. Those are the roots of the game.

If the modern day, the idea of the animus, and the precursor race were not present, the game would just be a historical political assassination simulator. It would be boring. Unity lacked those things in high levels. That's why it's the least favourite on my list.
Nevertheless, I appreciate your concern, which is true in its own way.
