Anyone else have problem with the Ibooks that came with ios8? It keeps flipping back pages each time i start reading. It's particularly annoying if i haven't read for a couple of days and i have no idea how far back the damn thing has gone. Also happens when i turn the ipad for vertical and down to horizontal again. It doesn't remember the previous location, so it's fucking annoying to be honest when you start reading and you have to mess around a little for it to turn horizontal as it often is vertical in the beginning regardless the ipads position.

I use the ibooks that came with ios 8 and it works fine for me. The only time i might have the problem you're talking about is if I just start a book and only turn 1 or 2 pages and then close ibooks..when i re-open ibooks, it starts at the beginning of the title. Otherwise, my pages are saved and I don't have any excessive page turning. Are you signed into your itunes account on your ipad automatically? I know when i "logged out" of my itunes account my ibooks kept sending me messages saying it couldn't save the pages, etc if i wasn't logged in.

IAP is the cancer of mobile gaming. When I entered the iOS world back in end of 2010, gaming on iOS was a completely different world.

This is a good step, but still the vast majority is full of IAP crap.

So many bugs in this OS (although 8.3 is really much better than the previous releases), and they focus on this. No problem in general.

I'm pretty sure the people working on that would be of little use working on bugfixes. It's not a small indie company we're taling about here so they probably have enough staff, even for this.

Err, past experience suggests that wherever they add new features, they introduce more bugs. iOS 8 is one big bug Laughing So now they are touching the emoji and keyboard areas and I have to

Hope they manage to fix ibooks soon. I only have 8.1 though. Slow as shit, and turns back pages like crazy if you accidentally make it go vertical and back to horizontal.

That's what you'd think, right? Laughing

But going by 2014's software releases, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Nothing really new there besides the gimped watch SDK support.
Real fixes are in 8.3, which will soon be out in public beta, if rumors are correct.

My third gen Ipad will probably just become slower. Probably the most unreliable Apple device.

My 5s feels faster as well. Safari in particular feels smoother. Don't know what they did but they did something.

Good, now they can move on to Yosemite. Although considering even their service centres are basically going "yeah uh no, we dunno, you're best off by dropping back to Mavericks" I think that one may be beyond saving.

Whatever happened to that supposed Ipad feature where you could "divide" the screen or so? Did it get removed from the Betas again?

It never really materialized more than an early beta hack. It is probably either something Apple experimented with and decided to throw altogether, or will be a feature exclusive to the rumored iPad Pro that is no longer generating rumors, so likely dead. What you need an iPad Pro when you have the new MacBook, a toy just like the iPad, but running OS X. Laughing
