A bit challenging? Please. I edited every damn weapon in the XML file to match real world attributes. A single shot from an AK would kill me in that game if I didn't have armor. Plus I never use the cover system. And I applied euphoria to myself so that I'd stumble or fall over if shot. You presume too much.

good answer

Very Happy

that's the whole point though. if games were designed with PC in mind, no one would be saying pads are better. but they're not. in almost all multiplatform games controls and gameplay are designed around the gamepad.
that's the reality.

using a mouse in those games to me end up feeling like having an aimbot in a multiplayer game. you simply have better controls than then game environment can handle.

So because the games are designed around retard pads, you say they end up simple and devoid of challenge. I agree. But then, your answer to this is to continue playing with retard pads ? What will change then ? When PC gamers voluntarely use console gear, when back in the day it wasn't even an option ,they were outraged when bad mouse and keyboard controls happened. Nothing will change now, if we continue like this

Nothing will change anyway, they stopped giving a shit about pc players years ago, not playing the games will only stop releases.
Sound cards used to come with a port for a joystick/pad, I had a few, this idea that keyboard and mouse was the only option is complete nonsense.
Back in the C64 days, read the 80s, you needed a joystick for 99% of games, same with the ST/Amiga, they were computers not consoles.

Most pads do suck for FPS, the only good one was the N64 pad but playing at such a low res probably helped a lot.

So, I just gave up on this as soon as I started it when it was released. The camera is absolutely abysmal, regardless of control method. The controls in general are somewhat clunky.

However, I powered through this time, tweaked the game as best as I could too (hated that aggressive bloom).

Anyway, I don't think I had that much fun playing this game, but something kept me going. The world, the story, the characters and their relationship are absolutely amazing. Pretty cool soundtrack too. The visuals are shit and breathtaking at the same time and this is because technically the game looks kind of awful, but its art direction manages to carry said visuals regardless.

I really wish this had the kind of production values Ninja Theory's "Devil may Cry" had. I wish it played more like that, with a proper camera, more polished controls and level design built around that instead of the clunky mess it kind of is in reality.

But yeah, those facial animations! They made Monkey and Trip (Pigsy too) look so natural when talking to each other. Also there was Andy Serkis in my game, I was pleased.

Oh, also the Cloud sections were pretty fucking cool!

I just wish this was a better GAME.
