no keybinds for any of character abilities clicking on each manually everytime.... and then by accident hitting friendly with it or end up not casting because you used wrong mouse button and why does all of them toggles like they are on auto cast when they are not..

@Stormwolf There is a fighter at the tree where dead bodies are hanging.
You can also hire any adventurer at the inn. (lvl1=250 gold, lvl 2 =500 gold)
1) Lenovo Legion 7 (AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3080 16Gb, 32Gb DDR4, SSD 1TB +2TB
2) SFFPC (streaming via Moonlight+ Sunshine)

First "bug".
- I attack bear with a party of 2
- one of the two party members is downed (maimed)
- bear stops attacking
- the other party member kills bear
- maimed party member is bugged
- can't exit cave

I'm trying to avoid generic companions as best i can. Will go for it though if that's the only option left. And that guy (i think i know who you mean) only had a few lines and that was it. Something more later perhaps?

After 5 hours in the game so far, other than ridiculous frame rate drops in certain areas, this game is amazing.
Skill/spell usage is clunky, inventory is kinda meh, but dialogue, environments, overall feel to the game is great.
Can't wait to get a full party (only 4 members so far) and get to the stronghold and stuff.

I want to try out this game, but am afraid I'll realize I hate the character/class I initially choose, and then start all over.........
So, what tips do you have for starting out? What class/skills did you choose that you thought would work well, but turned out to be utter crap? |
Hard to say so early. I know I finished my test ironmode attempt with Priest quite early, but just judging by abilities/spells, I'd advise you to stay away from Cipher, Chanter, Monk and Wizard also. They require about the highest amount of micromanagement. Chanter with his songs, Wizard with his spellbooks machinery, and Monk/Cipher with their charging mechanics.
Paladin should be fairly safe when followed prescribed ideology, but I'm guessing still not ideal for first playthrough, although I don't think he can 'fall' like he can in ad&d.
Rogue appears straightforward, but again requires some micromanagement, while Priest is weird in this game. He appears to be almost exclusivity a healer, and party buffer. I went with him at first, but he just doesn't fit into main protagonist role.
And then you're left with Barbarian, Fighter, Ranger and Druid that are all almost ideal in my mind. Fighter and Barbarian are easy, select a weapon group that you like and invest into whatever goes with it. Same for Ranger, just with added animal companion and focusing on ranged weapons. While Druid appears to be great offensive caster in this game. A ton of area effect spells, all easily available, and some healing powers on top as well. In infinity engine Druid was a cheap ass priest with few wizard spells. Here he's hard ass wizard with few priest spells.

Stronghold button should have been hidden until you unlocked it. Something like that should be a nice surprise, not something you just sit waiting for.

Restarted the game: one character gets maimed, bear keeps attacking this time, second character gets mauled, I am dead. Meh... [this is on NORMAL difficulty setting]
I am sure that once the bear is dead, any bug is irrelevant.

soon Inter, soon!
I too had to wait almost the entire day since I wasn't at home, it was painful indeed..
But you're not missing much really, the game is mediocre at best. It's basically an isometric DA: Inquisition with many one-liners, paper-thin characterization, generic art-style and straightforward combat where you just press the action button and battles basically auto-resolve. It's nothing to be excited about, don't let the hype fool you.
Spoiler: | It's amazing
The visuals and amounts of details are simply glorious, there's so much writing, and interesting dialogues that you literally spend entire minutes completely hypnotized, reading all the answers, combat is kicking my ass so badly that I'm considering switching to normal You'll love it |

:O This game seems to be kicking both Divinity OS and Wasteland 2 asses in the reviews and scores. Right from the start this was the one that caught my attention the most between all 3.
How is it technically wise? Too many bugs? Fear of that (especially because of Obsidian's reputation) is what stopped me from pre-ordering it.
