Yes theres even a tooltip saying that from time to time. Sometimes a NPC will have something to say, but it changes nothing its just fluff from what ive seen. |
none of the options matter anyway, even when you have 5-10 choices they usually lead to same outcome, sometimes there is fork, but usually there isnt anything else

Yea it's pretty disappointing.. Illusion of choice whereas there is actually none.

Level 6, just killed my first dragon. Now THAT was a fight. Ah man. That is how a dragon fight should be on hard, none of that easy shit like in Durghon GheyAge, where you could take a nap, while killing the toughest of dragons.
Here there be mobs, and you need tactics. And I did wipe a few times, when half my party died to a single crit. Heck, I had the dragon down to Nearly Dead twice, my party with full health, and still died  Dragons man, done proper.
Cail The Silent truly is silent now.
Also, the loot was great! Just FYI.

Actually it's very subtle but the conversation options do matter when you select the right path. This can make you avoid fights entirely.
Selecting the [bracket] choices often leads to you getting shafted 
1 and 2 are still amazing. |

lyou are lucky. I was double-clicking left and right from the very beginning And after reading that some items permanently increase stats I was kinda scared to put any magic items on my characters

I don't care much as long they don't intervene with my hobby. And with each passing year it seems the gaming industry is more inclined to bend themselves over for some entitled minority. I can see it now - in Obsidian HQ 10 people are sitting on a table discussing if they should remove a little joke from a 500$ backer, because someone somewhere was offended instead of patching the bugs that put my playthrough on hold.

As for backers:
A. The ones that disagree with the removal should give the game back and ask for refunds. That would send a message.
B. The backer that wrote that should be reimbursed, too.
Those are the sensible things to do. When a company will see that bending to a minority affects their sales greatly, they will stop doing that. Otherwise...it's just talk.

1/2 hour for Raedric. Noxious Trap from the rogue, tanglefoot, fireball and two defender fighters to keep them busy, plus durance for buff/heal. Sacrificed the rogue for baiting the enemy into the trap/wizard range.
And you should see the bounty hunting difficulty...Got my party wiped fast, ffs. Will try again after some weapon crafting (money are a problem if you do that, as crafting requires materials AND a large sum of money). And i was dumb enough to start upgrading my stronghold...My advice?! Screw the stronghold and upgrade weapons and armors.
P.S.: i've hit the trap bug. When i reloaded, the trap wasn't anywhere. Also hit the inventory bug, when you dismiss an adventrurer/companion, you will lose the equipment, so remove the equipment before dismissing the dudes and the dudettes...

Not sure about rogue, but Durance you find out about if you go back to stronghold after clearing it. Leave the area and come back and talk to the throne again and it will update you about goings on.
The throne tells you about a "mad man with a flaming staff" ranting at passers by in one of the wilderness areas (can't remember which one). You go and talk to him and he joins you, he's one of the most interesting companions so far and the only priest I've found. |

There is no rogue companion.  You have to hire a merc if you want one.

What are you talking about? I found the Durance guy in Gilded Vale close to the tree where they hang people. I'm clearing the stronghold with him.
