Nr. 5 is not a bug - you just have to progress the main quest a bit before you can ask the spirits for the password.

I was saving constantly like crazy when I was playing it, I even had to delete several dozens old saves coz it was too messy but surprisingly I haven't got this bug yet. I'm not playing anymore due to other bugs that affected my party..

I think I've found the issue relating to party member stat stacking, unfortunately I don't think it's something I can patch very easily.
If no patch has come out by tomorrow I will give it a shot.

@Steelone
Is there any way to get back active effects for the main character without using console commands? Removing companions from the party fixes this but I can't remove myself obviously lol

Obsidian should be able to do a retroactive recalculation quite easily. I imagine it would also be quite easy for someone to write a "savegame fixer" that does it automatically.
Console commands are probably the easiest way short of the patch or utility, I'd do it with IE mod so the save doesn't get branded with the cheater flag.

Man this game is getting better and better. Just reached the top of a watchtower. Very atmospheric. I'm glad I bought this. Yes, it's a budget title, but still it's so good.

Just what CRPG are you guys playing, why is it suppose to be a budget title?
There are two kinds of people I can't stand in this world. People who are intolerant of other people's cultures, and the Dutch.

@Doh!
Because it looks, feels and plays like a budget title? I 'll say nothing about ridiculous bugs and miserably failed Q&A (if there was any at all). "Budget title"doesn't mean bad mind you.The game is great. They just need to get their shit together and fix it asap

Eh, the GFX are absolutely gorgeous. Game looks better than most AAA titles, especially the likes of DAI.

T6chikom6 wrote: | Are there workarounds for the gamebreaking bugs so far (the saving one, as far as I know?). Played like half an hour and wondering whether is better to wait or to proceed... |
There are for some of them but not all. I can't speak for the rest as I haven't experienced them that I know of. But for the below...
For the Ranger Companion bug, if you notice it's happening you have to shut the game down completely - back to the desktop. If you save at that point, that save game is screwed until they patch it. If you don't have a save that's not broken, you cannot proceed and have to start over (or wait until they patch a fix). With this bug you can't go into a new area and will get the "You must gather your party..." message.

I still have a couple of copies from the pre-order. $20. Can get a steam or gog key. Any takers or should I just gift them randomly?

Encountered the well-known loading bug. Just goes to black. I read developers have fixed it for the upcoming patch. Good. I like the game and want to play more.
Having put close to ten hours into this now I definitely want to see a sequel in this 'old' style.

It's not 3rd person garbage like CISquisition so obviously it's a budget title.
It even has more than enough good quality voice acting.

Exaggerating much? No, it's not about 3D or not being 3rd person.
And personally I don't care about voice acting
I can't quite put my finger on what makes it feel budget title graphics wise...

For me, the game is absolutely fantastic!
It has both an old-school vibe AND a modern take. If Baldur's Gate II left me with wanting more of the same, this is finally the game that delivers. Not Dragon Age Origins, not Divinity OS or anything else, but THIS! This is a special game...
Now the long wait for bug-fixes continues.

To be fair Dragon Age: Origins deserves credit for going in this direction. The design of Origins was meant to salute the old style, even if it wasn't as close as what Pillars of Eternity is delivering now.
I'm way more into this game after 10 hours (until I reached loading bug) than I was Inquisition, and I spent 110 hours playing Inquisition.
Sometimes I feel like spinning the camera around to see an area from a different perspective but beyond that I don't really feel as if I'm missing much at all.

Same, I'm replaying Original Sin whilst waiting. I hadn't played OS since they rebalanced things and added the two new companions.
