Nr. 5 is not a bug - you just have to progress the main quest a bit before you can ask the spirits for the password.

Just found out i have bug nr.1 too

I was saving constantly like crazy when I was playing it, I even had to delete several dozens old saves coz it was too messy but surprisingly I haven't got this bug yet. Laughing I'm not playing anymore due to other bugs that affected my party..

I think I've found the issue relating to party member stat stacking, unfortunately I don't think it's something I can patch very easily.

If no patch has come out by tomorrow I will give it a shot.

@Steelone

Is there any way to get back active effects for the main character without using console commands? Removing companions from the party fixes this but I can't remove myself obviously lol

Obsidian should be able to do a retroactive recalculation quite easily. I imagine it would also be quite easy for someone to write a "savegame fixer" that does it automatically.

Console commands are probably the easiest way short of the patch or utility, I'd do it with IE mod so the save doesn't get branded with the cheater flag.

Man this game is getting better and better. Just reached the top of a watchtower. Very atmospheric. I'm glad I bought this. Yes, it's a budget title, but still it's so good.

Just what CRPG are you guys playing, why is it suppose to be a budget title?

Because it looks, feels and plays like a budget title? I 'll say nothing about ridiculous bugs and miserably failed Q&A (if there was any at all). "Budget title"doesn't mean bad mind you.The game is great. They just need to get their shit together and fix it asap

I think it looks, feels and plays like a well done game with a lot of money behind it.
That it has bugs and failed Q&A is something I got used to 15 years ago.
Actually just stopped playing because my Eder has 30 deflection I cant account for Sad

Are there workarounds for the gamebreaking bugs so far (the saving one, as far as I know?). Played like half an hour and wondering whether is better to wait or to proceed...

There are for some of them but not all. I can't speak for the rest as I haven't experienced them that I know of. But for the below...

For the Ranger Companion bug, if you notice it's happening you have to shut the game down completely - back to the desktop. If you save at that point, that save game is screwed until they patch it. If you don't have a save that's not broken, you cannot proceed and have to start over (or wait until they patch a fix). With this bug you can't go into a new area and will get the "You must gather your party..." message.

Are you level 11 perchance? Because you gain 3 deflection every level.

Nah at level 6, but I did not know of the +3 deflection per level. Ive only double clicked by mistake - my Baldurs gate hands still does it the old way Smile Maybe it sorta adds up, I can live with 5-10 extra. Cheers.

Edit: just checking stats, my barbarian has dealt 14000 of damage, Eder has done 6000 (got him as fast as one can).
Ofcourse they have 2 different roles, but its not like my barbarian ever falls in combat, at level 6 he has 1467 health and 167 endurance plus that savage defiance skill that just rocks (get 106 endurance back once per combat!).

Encountered the well-known loading bug. Just goes to black. I read developers have fixed it for the upcoming patch. Good. I like the game and want to play more.

Having put close to ten hours into this now I definitely want to see a sequel in this 'old' style.

It's not 3rd person garbage like CISquisition so obviously it's a budget title.

It even has more than enough good quality voice acting.

Exaggerating much? Laughing No, it's not about 3D or not being 3rd person.
And personally I don't care about voice acting

I can't quite put my finger on what makes it feel budget title graphics wise...

For me, the game is absolutely fantastic! Smile

It has both an old-school vibe AND a modern take. If Baldur's Gate II left me with wanting more of the same, this is finally the game that delivers. Not Dragon Age Origins, not Divinity OS or anything else, but THIS! This is a special game...

Now the long wait for bug-fixes continues. Sad

To be fair Dragon Age: Origins deserves credit for going in this direction. The design of Origins was meant to salute the old style, even if it wasn't as close as what Pillars of Eternity is delivering now.

I'm way more into this game after 10 hours (until I reached loading bug) than I was Inquisition, and I spent 110 hours playing Inquisition.

Sometimes I feel like spinning the camera around to see an area from a different perspective but beyond that I don't really feel as if I'm missing much at all.

Same, I'm replaying Original Sin whilst waiting. I hadn't played OS since they rebalanced things and added the two new companions.
