Out of interest Lolozaur, do you use summoning spells or trap chants on a regular basis?

I decided to give this game a second chance and wtf! First part of the game, with the ghosts and phantoms in the Temple/Stronghold I had to use all my wits and ressources to win a fight, but since then I just breeze through every fight. I take on 6 Guls + 3 Darguls like it's nothing, often with no knockouts. The boss of Cliaban Rilag, said to be one of the toughest, was brought down with his buddies like they were trivial.
Cipher is way too OP with her unlimited spells (Mind Blades are ridiculous). I begin with mind blade + fireball, then my tanks go crowd control while I spam mind blade + arquebuse + crossbow and boom, nothing is even a challenge, even if I just bruteforce it, I lose maybe one or two guys (that come back at close to full health so no biggie), so as long as I have 2 campfires, I steamroll any given dungeon.

Broken-ass game! Laughing

Nice to have some confirmation that this issue is purely related to summoning and trap spells then and not playtime.

Well, while waiting I might have time to replay some Baldur's Gate II + Expansion. By the time I finish it, Obsidian "should" be able to fix "most" of the bugs in their Pillars game... Laughing

Just like Wasteland 2, Divinity: Original Sin or Shadowrun Returns (the last one being the most polished now, but only after a ton of patching).

Again, these bugs are from the release version.

Unless you think they've been sitting on the release version for months and gave out a separate version to YouTubers to hide the bugs, they haven't had months.

@blackdochia

As far as I remember DOS didn't have that many gamebreaking bugs. I'd even say the launch was pretty smooth and the game was pretty polished.. The day it was released my friend and I started playing it in co-op and it was almost a bugs free experience.

Whelp, I just ran into my first really nasty bug. At the start of chapter 3 you can encounter a pack of ogres, and the ogre druid casts an insect swarm spell that never ends, even after combat is over, and there is no way to cleanse it. Can drop your squishy party members fairly quickly if you don't watch out. Good thing I wasn't playing on Trial of Iron or that might have been a real pisser. Judging by a thread on the official forum, this is a known/repeatable bug.

Heh, yes you would be a brave soul to attempt it now. You'd certainly have grounds to be pissed if your save got fucked through no fault of your own 40-odd hours in.

Got hit by the stats bug. Fucks sake. I noticed pretty fast, but I'd still have to track back around 2 hours, unwilling to do that.

So fucking annoying, one of my companions has fucking 140 HP now. Fecks sake.

Any news about when a patch might be inbound?

You can fix companions by dismissing them and rehiring them I think. You can fix main character with this cheatengine table:

As for patch, I've not seen anything other than the "this week".

Sadly, that doesn't work. This is the stat stacking bug. I caught it pretty fast, and could play with it like this, but it annoys me to no end, feels like cheating, even though I've been only talking since the time it happened. Fucks sake. Had some time set aside today for this game, now I won't touch it, until they fix it. Pretty pissed how a bug as huge and as game-breaking such as this got past testing.

I think that cheat engine table does companions as well. Unfortunately it seems accuracy isn't included, so if you've fucked accuracy it might be hard to fix.
