and iirc the even said something like expanding scope .... who knows
Do you guys recommend to update the game? I'm planning to play the game this weekend with my cousin, but haven't downloaded the game yet. If I remember correctly there were some performance issues with 1.0 version?
Absolutely. The performance boost in one of the latest patches was fantastic.
too bad I "can't" play with high textures on my rig
even at 1680x1050, game goes over 2gb vram, raping my gtx 660. well, framerate is good, but there's occasional split second hitching that is just unacceptable.
I had that split second hitching on my GTX 670 before patch 1.5, so I had to play with textures on Medium. But after that patch was released, not anymore

well i'm playing the steam version so its up to date I guess the 670's wider mem bus swaps full vram better than a gtx 660 does.
Damn, the hard mode is freaking hard in this game. almost annoyingly so.
I am playing with a gamepad, so that increases the difficulty, but freaking enemies eat up way too much damage.
I kinda wish the combat was a bit more realistic, with sharp weapons chopping of limbs with ease.
But as it stands, i basically have to hit even the regular zombies numerous times, even in the head, to kill them. And fighting those big guys with sledgehammers is quite tedious.
Also, not noticing much difference between weapons that do 20 damage, and those that do 80, as it still takes forever to kill.
The atmosphere in the game is fantastic, but the combat does bring the game down a bit.
