The Note 4 is currently the most recent phone of Samsung that is still top quality and it does NOT bend and has SD card slot + swappable battery.

Looking for some feedback here, please. I have the opportunity to pick up this tv for $1k brand new.

I'm not too familiar with the overall "4k" deal but would it be worth it to get this TV simply for the price and just see how things work out when it comes to actual 4k content (when it's available)?
I do know 4k is more of a hype/buzz word since it's not quite 4k quality, so I'm looking for other aspects on this, please. Thank you!

4k is more than a hype/buzz - it's useless and pointless on a TV. On a computer screen it would make a lot more sense but on a TV? If you set a few feet away, it's impossible to tell the difference between 1080p and 4k. And sitting closer than that is idiotic as well and not needed.

So 4k is useless if you don't utilize it, obviously. And utilizing it is stupid in your opionion. Why is that fact though?
Im sitting too close to my television for 1080p. My next tv will be a 4k one.

people will always talk like that if new things come out. oh no smartphone screen to big no one needs that... a few years later it's standard.
normally this comes from people who can't afford something good.

So, I'm getting that it is a fantastic deal on at least a decent/good TV in which I will need to wait some more to truly appreciate what it is capable of due to lack of content? Would this be accurate?

For only a thousand bucks, it's a decent performing big TV. As for 4K, who cares whether it's useful or not? Unless you're paying 500 more for a 4k TV when you can get the same TV at lower res, it doesn't matter.
