dont know if it was mentioned but there is no permanent internet connection needed, just one time activation on social club (no checks after that)

Yea but that is related to online play, patches and rockstar client updates IMO.
The part that is fishy is

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D / MSI Gaming X Slim GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER / ASRock B650 PRO RS / Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360 / G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 2x16GB DDR5-6000 CL30 / Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB / SeaSonic VERTEX GX-850 850W Gold / Lian Li LANCOOL 216

So for you Gomez, this is the perfect solution. Set Steam to install to your larger mechanical drive and then, when the decryption is done and unlocked ready to play, use SteamMove (or you any other tool, even commandline "mklink") to move the data from your slower mech to your faster SSD. |
Thank you! That was exactly what I wanted.

Sli 980's 4GB per card. 8GB cards do not exist yet for the 980 line...
*edit*
I realize that two 4GB do not give you 8GB memory They must have made a mistake. |
Not really, in GTA4, if you had 2 cards, the meter there would show double the memory too.
So maybe that's still the same code as they used in GTA4 and thus showing 8 instead of 4GB?

Don't know about that, pal. I had two HD 4870 for GTA IV and it only showed 512 MB for me. Big waste of money getting two cards tbh. Perhaps its different these days
