Yep, you only get the Trophy once the LS part is over and Franklin goes to his car. Instead of cutting here you have to finish the mission and save, then sync the Trophy to be 100% safe.
There's no faster way than I am doing it, with some special cases where AI fucks up (fucking Lamar)

I don't think I even synced my trophies on PS3 either, I think I remember there being issues with CFW and trophy syncing at the time.
