This only works if you have the install media, or the right registry entries, and of course you need a legitimate key too. If you just downloaded the "unlocked" files, RSGSC or Steam, then you won't have the reg keys and trying to run the patch installer complains that the game isn't installed.

Care to share your registry entries, please? Sans any identifiable information of course grinhurt It'll help people that downloaded the "files only" rather than a 60GB ISO set, hehe.

He only got banned from GTA:O so don't play online.

@sabin1981 Does that even help if I do that Very Happy They're the same as any legit user, I just did the little easy stuffs.

The versioning.xml contains all links, for those that are interested. Then you just change your version.txt file to 1.0.323.1 and open the Launcher.

Played the 360 version for about 5 minutes but gave up when I had to stop and squint to make out whatever I was trying to look at (rubbish textures). Hmm I think I wait. Somehow after the install of the GTA V Launcher 3xx the launcher didnt even start. After installing the prelaunch everything went back to normal wait time.

After just changing version.txt to the new one without installing the new launcher ended up into a 'Rockstar update server is not reachable' Razz

Moving the depotcache folder to a different HDD to make the decrypt go faster. Read from one drive and write to the other.
