I love it how the noise is amplified when multiple explosive urns detonate. The 2nd blast scared the shit out of me as I didn't think there was another molotov lobber on the bridge, not to mention nearly killed me! I thought my headphones were gonna blow up lol.
I've gone through the game once completely legit and it took 45 hours.... I am not doing that again... I want to have alt's that use different weapons and are still within the community cap
This is why I do these things
You''ll miss out on the chalice dungeons if you remain that low in level though. The chalice dungeons are awesome and are my favorite part of the game. I really like how they have enemies/bosses (hard as hell) that are unique to the chalice dungeons instead of rehashing the same old from the main game. Even more so, the two final bosses of the chalices, imo, are the real bosses of the game, both in story and difficulty. I just beat the second to the last boss, and am now on the final layer of the last chalice. Pretty damn intense. Currently level 161.
Lol this game sometimes has some serious issues when I try to coop:
I tried to help somebody else while playing on my own and had my bell ringing. When I beat the enemy, I somehow lost connection to my own game (wtf?) then quit and ended up in somebody else's game, where I couldn't do anything. Quitting again (not disconnecting!) put me into my own game again somehow...
Had something similar earlier, but because I did not really know how the Share button works I lost the vid

nice, need only a few achievements as well, but i ll have to go through ng+ quickly for the bad ending, my save went past that option since i didnt know of the point of no return.

Ah, that sucks, but it should go pretty quick. If you do it after Yharnam, then you'll breeze through NG+. If you skip all of the optional areas/bosses, it shouldn't take more than a few hours. I had to go through NG+ a little bit to grab the cannon and two hunter tools for the trophies.

Spoiler:
Yharnam, Queen of Pthumeru!
Hmm, I didn't realize the chalice dungeons required such a high level, in that case I might boost one to 150+ and leave the other 2 around 100 so I can coop NG+ with some friends

i've cleared every single chalice with relative ease at SL100. i plan to do so with SL50 also (honestly they're not difficult, it's just working out the strategy)
run through chalice, run past enemies, pick up loots, then work on the bosses. ez.

I suppose you could do it at a lower level, but it seems most people are doing them around 140 or so. My last levels from 120 and on were really just dummy points to waste blood echoes on. I didn't run past any enemy though, as I prefer to kill them all. I will say that the game can be beaten at level 4 as well, so I guess it's really just how you want to play it.

i don't kill them all because quite frankly they offer nothing good
every good item comes from a chest or pick up, every good gem comes from a boss. fighting those mobs is just a boring time sink that isn't rewarding at all at that point in the game.
Any tips on quickly beating the Chikage fag (Eileen's quest)? During my first playthrough I've spent 4 deaths, 30 minutes running around, chucking numbing mists at him etc. Is there a faster way? I read that you can get him stuck on the stairs with the Chikage transformed and just wait for him to die - but I never managed to do it. He would get stuck occasionally lose 1/3 of his hp and heal up.
In any case - this unlimited heals/unlimited QS bullets bullshit combined with his enormous ammounts of HP and megadamage is beyond cheap.
secret walls only in randomized (root) chalice dungeons. the item you can get from a roundabout path if you go left from chapel bonfire instead of right.
Ah thanks. I didn't realize that door was open for me yet. Somehow this game is VERY cryptic, you complete an area (like here Old Yarnam) and seemingly random stuff gets unlocked without the game telling you. How the fuck are you supposed to know that killing an optional boss will unlock a door halfway across the area?

that's how the souls games work.
venture back to areas.
From what I remember from DS1 and DS2, they at least gave you a key. You did not know what to do with it, nor did the item-name tell you anything, but at least you know you could unlock something, you just had to search for it. Just randomly opening doors I can't recall from the earlier games.

well the gate to the cathedral plaza is opened with a badge you get, if you read the description it actually implies it.
Ah ok thanks, I should pay more attention to those
Had yet another bug with Mulitplayer:
I died while trying to connect to another game. I died in "my" world, then got transported to the other players game, where I was already dead. I woke up at my lantern with no souls lost.

Bloodborne will finally be getting the patch that speeds up those grating loading times, with Sony confirming it's aimed for release in April.
Detailed on the PlayStation Blog, the 1.03 update "seeks to reduce certain load times in addition to performance optimisations". 'Certain' load times made me smirk, for some reason, as if they're writing it while winking slyly at you.
