I don't like the performance.. Yeah I know titan is a kinda old card but still.. All things considered ( graphics is OK, nothing special tbh et) the game should run with everything maxed out at 1920x1200@60+fps constantly.
Instead I have to turn some options off and lower some other settings. And still I get 40-50 outside the city where lots of grass and shit. It runs pretty well in the city but I don't like dat "milky"\foggy effect in the distance.

And the game doesn't even look that special to warrant such requirements. But hey, nothing new in a console world.

i5 4570 @ stock freq
GTX 760 2Gb
2x4Gb DDR3 Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz
Lowering population variety makes it possible to use high textures with almost everything set to high with no AA. Runs pretty good, though when the time of day changes the game starts to stutter. Car chases make it stutter. FUCKING POPUPS EVEN. Gonna set textures to normal and try it later today.

The only thing optimized is your brain to cash in on at maximum performance. Everyone who calls these requirements legit is beyond help already and propably running in full "runs for me, so it's fine fgts!" mode. But hey, stay pleb. One more or less doesn't hurt anyway anymore.

Having owned the original, the HD PS4 version, and now the PC version, I can't help but wonder what you're on about.
If it was a direct copy of either of the previous 2 then no, it wouldn't warrant the requirements, but it's more than a step up from the previous, especially with proper AA + better textures, draw distances and decent shadows. Anyone sitting here next to me viewing all 3 at once would find it hard to disagree.
If Neon can get 60 frames at 1080p with 2XMSAA, on a 2 year old card that you can get pretty cheaply now, then I don't see much of an issue.
It runs fine on my laptop too. |
First of all, this isn't even about "my" hardware. I'm talking in general here. Like you said yourself, you wouldn't even warrant them and just because it's a step-up from 4, doesn't mean it's good enough. Sorry, it's how it is.

This is no where near the mess that GTA IV was when it was released. Next to no gaming rig, even with the newest hardware could play the game at 30+fps all the time.

I let it d/l via torrent trough the night, wake up and barely make it to my pc without tripping over the cats, see it done and want to copy over the files. Then a genius thought strikes my brain "hey,lets delete those files the RSC launcher created during the time it pretended to download with 32kb/s". Not beeing fully awake i also deleted the folder with the full 60gb torrent file
i`ll try again in a few hours i guess
