Hey guys, anybody else notice that there's been a lack of cracked game patches lately?? For example, there is a v1.1 patch released for Fahrenheit, but when I apply it to the nogrp tetrisemu release, I receive a prompt to insert the original game cd. I wonder if the groups have stopped releasing game patches...
SHitty this is, this patch fixes some lockups later in the game where I am...

Not to many groups support their games anymore - like cracking the updates and shit
Unless its a big title and easy enough to crack that is.

Well thats because Fahrenheit wasnt cracked and tetris emulation wasnt created by scene dudes.

exactly, now clones are more popular(due to it taking so long for scene to kill sf etc), no need for cracks for updates.

This is why I hate it when a game gets released without a clone at all. Like Silent Storm: Sentinels. You can't patch it becuase no one has provided a crack. Its securerom 5, and there hasn't even been a mini-image released. I would much prefer to see games released as clones with cracks. This way if they get lazy and don't want to crack an update, people can still do it.

i'm with you here crossmr....at least with a clone, you can if u like, d/l just the crack from the cracked release and apply the crack...however, unlike cracked releases, u can apply the offical patches with clone releases, and not have to wait for crack groups to release the update cracks....to me its a no brainer...that why i dont get it when ppl complain about clones...

the game doesn't run when the patch is applied
maxi-image, mini-image, tetris-emu... not working

What game areyou talking about? The vast majority of games that I"ve run from clone all work fine when the patch is applied.

So far thats just one game. True, fahrenheit doesn't work with the patch. But that is only one game. ALL Clones I have used (excepting that ofcourse) work perfectly with their patchs, as they should. Don't go foul for one single exception.

Same here, no need for a patch imo. Worked till the end here and I finished the game twice, following 2 different storylines, so if there is a bug, it's in a storyline I didn't follow at least  |

did u do anything special to apply the patch? are u talking about the same patch?? we're talking about the official patch update v1.1 that was released for the game, not the patched tdf that u need to mount in order to play...noob

Have really stayed that far from what the "Scene" is for/about.
Ironic and ignorance about buying a game. OMFG. Give your head a shake.
These atitudes are not what formed the scene, they will be the death of it. Not PSP kiddies, or torrents. But the individuals that feel they should have all these games for free, with updates and what not. The ones that bitch about playing online for free etc.
Its called try before you buy. Becasue quality developers deserve your support. Nothing beats an original. IF you like the game, buy it. We did! Any of these statements ring a bell?
Support good developers, if you cant. Dont play the game ffs.

i`musing NOGRP release with mds converted to iso ,tdf from orig version works with 1.0 and 1.1 - why not?

second - applu 1.1patch 8.3 mb or under that
third - mount isousing alcolol (i`m using not newest vesion)
fourth - install tetris
fifth - mount tdf
sixth - playthegame!
