During an unfortunate series of events a friend of Kung Fury is assasinated by the most dangerous kung fu master criminal of all time; Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung Führer. Kung Fury decides to travel back in time, to Nazi Germany, in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all. Kung Fury is a visually spectacular action comedy that has it's foundation in 80s cop movies.

What they showed was good enough.. but now they've tied in some heavy duty movie production people and it will become even better. Yay 80'ies. Miami Vice, Charles Bronson, Ninja-movies with Sho Kosugi and so on...
Miami Police Department detective and martial artist Kung Fury time travels from the 1980s to World War II to kill Adolf Hitler, a.k.a. "Kung Führer", and revenge his friend's death at the hands of the Nazi leader. An error in the time machine sends him further back to the Viking Age.
Director David Sandberg is a Swedish filmmaker with years of experience in directing television commercials and music videos. In 2012, he quit the commercial directing business and focused on writing a script for an action comedy film set in the 1980s, inspired by action films of that era - Kung Fury.
(Not that I would use Steam as a video library when it's simpler and cheaper to just download a rip from elsewhere but this one is free.)

I haven't followed this project very much but expected 80ies bullshit flick done old-school way (practical effects) with modern technologies. Similar to the "C 299,792 km/s" project. { http://www.nfohump.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=87608 }
Kung Fury has the bullshit part, but with CGI effects it's just an imitation of the real thing.

No but seriously - you either accept this for what it is w/o knowing a thing about it, or keep your opinions to yourself. Because you really... DID YOU JUST FIND OUT WHAT PRACTICAL EFFECTS ARE BECAUSE OF MAD MAX? There's plenty of practical effects here + green screen. Lol. Not EVERYTHING was green screened with CGI added.
The VFX were nicely done - it all would look horrible if it were crisp and clean w/o the VHS effect. The one liners were done well. It all seems to pace too quickly, would've made a nice 6 episode mini series. kung fury is my new fave character... dumb as fuck... oblivious to everything... Just fuckin' awesome bad ass.
Few things weren't needed (spirit animal - phone advert) they work for the humour factor - but could be done w/o
