Apparently you need to set your computer date back to yesterday according to the Russian forum. |

"Landing Page: On"
had to go find it.
Its under settings, game I believe. Working at the moment and cant launch the game. IT didnt seem to fix it for sabin, but either fixed it for me or just a huge coincidence, wont rule that out. But was only setting I changed and I was throwing teargas like a mad man, shooting out of the driver seat, and zooming in and out leaving jobs 12+ hours yesterday and no problems.

You mean setting Landing Page to On, yes? (to maybe fix aiming crashes)
Will try it now enabled to see if it still crashes

Damn u, i get an insta crash. Can u pls share ur rig and config? |
Not sure if it will help everyone, but I think sabin mentioned it a few page back also.
The "splash screen on" or whatever its called in the settings fixed it for me.
I was crashing every 3-4 cutscene zoom ins in MP, and probably every 6-7 times I broke a window to shoot out. Since I changed that I played 12 hours yesterday without one crash..and was doing MP with tons of both going on. |
my kinda old config here, xeon1230v3 on asrock h87 pro4 board, 2x4gb crucial ballistix sports 1600er ddr3, gtx 770 with 2gb, newest driver. samsung 830 evo 120gb ssd for win 8.1, game is on a old 640gb sata2 hd though. havent changed any game files or messed with the config (outside of the normal game menu). as i said havent had a single crash yet (besides the game stucked when entering the garage of my apartment the first time in online mode, game didnt crashed, but bugged outside of the garage after driving in and couldnt do anything besides kill the process of the game -> happened only the first time as i said, no problems afterwards)

I changed the Landing Page: On to Off a few days ago to go right into MP thats when I was getting crashes every hour or so after that. Putting it back to what it was worked.
Overall I guess it wasnt too bad for me, 74 hours into the game so far, and I had maybe 10 crashes? and that was all in the single day I had that setting changed to off.

@Supermax2004
I'm not twisting your words, you claimed maximum settings.. not "some on v.high, some on high, some on blah blah blah" - 60fps 50-60 with 4xMFAA and maximum settings on a single 970? Nope, not believable, sorry. You can show as many cherry picked images as you want, I won't believe it regardless There's only a handful of frames-per-second difference between the 780 and a 970 at stock, we both have our cards OCed so that gap doesn't widen all that much either.
As for me? 1080p60 99% of the time (there are times it drops into high 50s depending on scene) with V.High on everything except Grass, which is "Normal", all sliders are full except motion blur which is more like 30%, no MSAA/MFAA, just FXAA. If I enable MSAA the framerate drops from near-locked 60 to low 40s. Advanced options has Long Shadows and High Detail Streaming both enabled, High Resolution Shadows disabled. Both Advanced sliders are on 30%-

The 970 is practically the same as a 780, give or take a few minuscule figures lol.
I'd still take the 780 over the 970 any day though, due to its greater shaders, texture maps and, more importantly, wider memory bus
Sure, it has more memory and lower TDP, but not worth it IMO, and it certainly doesn't perform like SuperDerp's fantasy figures.

Your 2500k also fucks up some FPS thats for sure. Only FXAA? Well may god be with you...I tried that and it looks shit. 4MFAA is a lot better. And btw. there are some settings that only go to very high and not ultra so.....And what are you saying you mostly have 60fps well wheres the prob then? What is not believable? ^^
In some games the 980 is only a bit faster than the 780 in others a bit more. So there might be a bigger gap I don't know...
Here is a benchmark result:
http://www.computerbase.de/2015-04/gta-v-benchmarks-grafikkarten-prozessoren-und-kantenglaettung-im-vergleich/2/#diagramm-grafikkarten-benchmarks-in-2560-1440
1440p with FXAA the 780 ti has 32fps the 970 36 and the 980 42.....so 10 fps more! And my card is currently above 980.....so there might be a 5-10fps gap plus stronger CPU....it all comes together it all looks realistic and clear.
I play with my 50-60 you too
And another question from my humble self: you said low 40s with MSAA....4MSAA or 2? With 4 it would all be clear...
