U had p2p programs installed when u installed SP2? And it worked? fuck, ur lucky - ive heard that kazaa and such programs fuck up the installation of SP2
Antivirus progs dont do screw it up tho, least for me - dont have any p2p apps installed so i dont know if that makes a dif. |

i had SO MUCH program and random crap when i upgraded that something HAD to go wrong, but didn't ... i do NOT understand why you people have so many problems with MS... they have ALWAYS worked great for me... maybe a few bad apples during WIN98SE days but that was the fun times... XP pro has not failed me yet

Yeah! thats it, smartass! How about microsofts inabillity to create something that doesent fuck your system in the ass?
If the shit is available on win update it should be streamlined as the rest of the installs!

In a sense I agree with ollax.. Only because I once had a perfectly operating machine with SP1 installed, then I hear about this wonderful SP2.. and I think to myself, should I get it? I decide no. I leave it for a few months where my machine operates wonderfully. Then I hear that it might make my machine perform better in some games (being the ignorant fuck I am) I go and install this SP2. My computer took 3x as long to boot EVERY time, and games barely ran, let alone better. SP2 is satan in an exe if you do the upgrade instead of a fresh install.

Word! Thing is i do like most microsoft products. But what i dont like is when they send me a package to install and it fuxx me over big time.
You can wrap shit in gift paper and its still shit, if you know what i mean?

It's been over a year since i last needed to format my computer and i installed SP2 like four months ago without checking anything. Worked flawlessly.
I thank double firewalls (ext and int) as well as Norton Systemworks for that. Got a 3200+ with 1.25gb ram and a 9700pro and im running FEAR, Q4 and B&W2 at near max settings without any lag. Hail Bill Gates!

OMFG... please stop complaining.. if you don't like winblowz. the for fuck sake get linux (distrubition) like ubuntu/red hat etc etc or wtf ever...
Since I got linux, I haven't had any downtime... no viruses,no anti spy ware, crap, no anti virus crap no... you get the idea...
Oh yeah if you're a heavy pc gamer, I wouldn't recomend it.. but im not so 
Apt - get (i got access to over 16 000 applications trough a network interface, no I don't care if you download software, it's not the same thing..
I wouldn't accept windows even if they handed it to me freely+years with updates...
I don't game on my pc rig anymore, though my hardware easily supports the option.
"Windows xp works for me, so It's great" lol please spare me with those "smart" comments. The reason Windows is widely known is because of a broad market, where MS rules....
There's a reason why company's as ILM laughs when someone asks them why they are not running a windows rig.... (IRX/UNIX)
No im not an expert.. but I do however use common sense... Since I got linux I will never use winblowz anymore (or any ms product for that matter)
I choose linux simply because windows has always been a laughing matter....

ot: i would love to use something else then windows but then again i cant play games anymore, the main reason why i even have a computer so everybody saying "get linux if you dont like windows" isnt looking at the complete picture.
i must also say that i love bill gates. he invited me over once, we had a hell of a time, im not gonna get in details but it was gross as shit, talking about shit i took a dump on his face and he swallowed

You guys.. not the OS being the issue of piracy, but the features its going to have to stop piracy. If the CPU lock is used, we're fucked. Plain and simple.
