game is poor compared to the other ultimas,but played it a lot back in the days. but dont think i can get into it again, those jumpnfail passages were horrible, but maybe i try to kill the blacksmith again to get all the nice stuff without getting noticed ^^

That's true. Ultima 7 is always the only Ultima that I'll still remember and recommend to hardcore RPG players even now.
1 and 2 are still amazing. |

No, it was poor compared to Ultima VII. Ultima VI and the previous versions were not bad but suffered from annoying text interfaces. Ultima VIII still had a lot going for it but was a little more action oriented. Despite this, it was still a very fun game. People just compared it to much to Ultima VII.

Of course as it rightly should. It was a rush job through and through. I still remember being pissed at a majority of the plot points that were never
resolved not to forget a lot of the filler open areas with nothing in them.
Although the one thing the game had going for it was the oppressive atmosphere. Reminded me a lot of Quest for Glory 5.
1 and 2 are still amazing. |
