Script hook now supports version 1.0.335.1 (Steam download.) and 1.0.335.2 (Rockstar download/retail disc.) Smile


EDIT: The script hook has also been modified to close the game if you try to use it online, it was intended for SP use but modified versions worked in online mode too and now with the improved anti-cheat system or other scans the utility will just close the game down instead. (As to avoid the user getting banned.)

Ideally it should be the browsers or the forum design's job to ensure that number of characters per line is within reasonable limits. There are standards for that, for "optimal" reading conditions.
But alas, for this forum you would have to manually adjust the width of the browser. Writing Posts breaking up paragraphs is not ideal of course.

@JBeckman Well I would stay cautious now, if they even try to ban you for SP cheating, I won't use it unless it's proven to be safe. Some reports say it's enough if the files are in the folder not doing anything. WTF.

@freiwald It's fair to get banned in SP for using a Trainer and Mods? In what rock world do you live in? And if you say you don't like Mods anyway, then it's no discussion to go for either, but then you shouldn't even bother trying to make a point here.

Since when is FOV expanding cheating? Maybe for a derpy computer system it is, but that's just lame as fuck

FOV isn't cheating per se, but I imagine the rationale is that it gives an advantage to those that use it over those with the vanilla FOV (which is what? 60° or something?).

if there would be a option to increase fov for everyone it would be fair. but like this everyone using this online would get a unfair advantage. sure everyone can download and use it... but not everyone will do it. so cheat.

i'm just against mods cause people will always find a way to use them online. get a pirated copy and trainer and mod all out of the game as you want. everything else is cheating and thank god rockstar is seeing it the same way

@DCB Now let's count the amount of 'FP only' missions that are there, because there certainly are no Lobbies for that. So what, DM FOV expanded, now what happens if someone uses a controller there, auto-aiming? Ban instantly for 2 weeks?

@freiwald Where's the unfair advantage in a THIRD PERSON GAME? And why did R* make it so narrow in the first place? Laughing Do you know what Mods are? http://www.gta4-mods.com/

You said Modding = Cheating, maybe educate yourself before making an opinion out of it. Lawl. The only reason they MAY got banned is because of memory editing, not because having a wider field of view, seriously...

I'm not defending it, just stating my thoughts on the reasoning behind it. And 1st person vs 3rd person makes no difference, you still see more in both scenarios with a wider FOV.

As to why they didn't make it wider by default, that's easy. The same reason most other games don't either. It's a console port.

Indeed, but resizing the browser window, or using an extension that limits the width of the page is beyond Yuri's realm of possibilities. Better to ruin readability for everyone by breaking sentences in the worst way possible.

sweetFX is a harmless postprocessing layer, editing FOV online gives you an unquestionable advantage over other players.
