Yeah, I have to agree that this whole thing is a little strange. Aside from MP, what exactly has changed in the last 2 years since BMS was released as a mod? No, going to "Early Access" for this is just ridiculous. The game should have been FINISHED by now, instead we're asked to pay $20 and wait even longer?

Still, seems too little too late considering the nearly 3 year development time since mod release. The fangirls and defence brigade are out in full force on Facebook too.. no surprise there.

Oh? this must have been fairly recent then? I remember reading on the official site for Lost Alpha being funded by the developer and going retail, this was perhaps 4-5 months ago..

Odd way to handle things really. 
I thought they had plans to release the whole game without missing parts, and with updated maps as well (Black Mesa was incredible, but needed some heavy rebalancing).
This sounds more like a donation or a way to say thank you, which would be more than okay, but a 20 dollar donation..eh. I'll pass.

Just can't agree with the flak but that's because I liked it so much and deem it worth the 20€... Not saying anyone is wrong or anything. To each his own.
Enjoyed this more than alot of fullprice titles I bought though.. which says alot.

Game is great and, as a full game, is absolutely worth €20. The "flak" is over the 10 year development cycle, the eventual release, the missing Xen, the butchered On The Rail/Surface Tension levels, the two and a half year wait for Xen, then the reveal of the same game released on Steam for €20 yet still missing Xen.
That's the flak, m3th0d mate. The game isn't finished and they're trying to sell it.. two and a half years since the last unfinished release. Twelve and a half years since development started.
When it's FINISHED it will be worth €20, absolutely.

Oh, I'm sure as hell not buying it now. I wait till that thing is done 100% before I pick it up. But then they definitely get my monies because they deserve it.
