Ummm question.... none of my video settings are working - If I change res, vsync, AA etc, game says to restart, but nothing sticks.
Any ideas?
Edit: Never mind, it seems there was an old config folder with incorrect permissions

Looks like AMD is falling behind pretty badly in this game, might require some extensive driver tweaks unless it's something else causing it.

Yeah, that was always like that. When I switched my CPU from AMD to Intel I got a hardcore boost in FPS and when I switched from my Radeon 6950 to my 970 my FPS trippled! (I just went ultra and still had a solid 60fps  )
@Kuro: There is the Class A AMG A45 so it's quite a brutal version of your car

On my Athlon II X4 640 (4x3GHz) with Radeon 6950 I had ~30-45 fps on medium/high on Nürburgring with < 10 ai and sunny weather.
With Xeon 1231v3 (4x3.4GHz) and Radeon 6950 I had 55-60fps on medium/high on Nürburgring with < 25 ai and sunny weather.
With Xeon 1231v3 and GTX970 (EVGA Superclocked ACX 2.0) I have 60-110fps on ultra with >30ai.

Ahhh so its been out thx to Reloaded. Well I dont mind to leech and try it like an animal then. Why not thats what I like to say...why not?
Honest question: is the game good looking? 60fps+ sounds like it looks average ^^. Anyone tested the game in 1440p and ultra and maybe smaa or sth.?

I liked the SP part since the Alpha leak, played it every day and that was with wonky A.I. and unfinished stuff.
It can be enjoyed with a derp pad... but some rockets like the Mclaren P1 are quite the no go... but still apart from supercars there is still a whole lot one can play and it is doable... just harder. |

Maybe you can still start the game with -gold parameter and then you can use some extra commands... CTRL+K I think should enable free form camera?
Besides that.... Why would you even want to play with outside cam  |

How the heck do you start a new career mode. It never lets me click to move on after filling out name and stuff. Or pick one of the three types of career.

I'm driving with the pad too and it's far easier to drive from inside imo as you can see how far you have steered in and so on

Is it worth giving a full Single Player run?.. 6# some cars feels kinda like playing a BURNOUT but a la Gran Turismo, mini/reduced edition.
Though i enjoy arcade racing games,dunno how this would feel like
Also...Can you drift like Burnout or similar,but BEING ABLE TO DRIFT?.. (I mean,your car turns a lot and makes a perfect? C turn,instead of drifting like / )

Yes this has SP... The drifting thing: well if you can drift and have assists off I imagine you could drift through corners the way you want (why you'd want to I don't know since it's slow  ).
With all assists on it feels not too arcade and not too much sim. A better driving than Grid Autosport yet not harder.

@lolo: chase cam sucks for every atleast semi realistic racing game, just use hood/bumper or standard cockpit view. wont recommend helmet cam, even if you can turn of the helm visually i still dislike the head movement (disliked it always, even in shift) cause it makes me bzzzzzzz, cant get a turn right with the fucking movement

I dont know, skimming over it hitting the highlights, unless Im taking it out of context because of that...it seems he wants to fuss about a "hardcore racing sim" that's lack luster because of its lack of generic gamepad ease of use and driving, how bad cars handle trying to drive with a controller, and how remapping the controls to a gamepad in a game geared towards 'hard core sim fans' as he puts it, is a pain.
It sounds sort of like hes going "I'm a hard core race sim fan, but this game, driving with a controller, and its damn near impossibility to, will be its downfall.. mediocre/10 at best score."
Granted, hes fussing about the console versions, but then to me if you use a console for 'true racing sim' your doing it wrong to start with, dont expect hardcore anything on a console using a gamepad.
And blaming the games FPS problems on AMD cards, on the game itself, for some reason.

The bickering is amazing. I'm not quite the biggest fan, physics ain't nothing special, and some tracks are quite poorly made, but that review is almost nothing but pointless rant.
