Look at this fuck, just pulling out a gun on unarmed people because they ran at him. But I already saw the comments on reddit and it's full on america-fuck-yeah going on.
And it's titled "I almost killed someone last night". Yeah. Some stranger who probably had a dispute with his girlfriend, because he had to maintain his god given right to record strangers yelling at each other.

Well... Yeah, it seems dumb NOW.
But think of all the incidents you hear about, where someone gets beaten to death on the street and people just walk by, no one even tries to stop the attacker.
OR, when someone DOES interfere, he gets stabbed as well... You're saying they were unarmed, but HE had no way of knowing that. Especially when someone's running at you screaming.
So kudos for that guy actually giving a damn and then being sensible enough to warn the crazy bitch instead of shooting first.
Remember those people that tried to diffuse violent situations and got beaten to pulps here in Germany, Pumpy?
I wish they had a gun.
Seriously, it seemed to me he tried to diffuse a situation, doesn't matter what his true agenda was. I didn't feel like he was provoking them at all. He also was very clear with what he said the whole time.
Them charging at him like crazies wasn't any smarter than him filming this.
Should he just have walked by and ignore it? I dunno man. Very complicated..

No, stand afar, call the police. He is not the towns help sheriff. This is not about looking away.
When he pulls the gun, he starts to boss around, like telling them to get in the car. I can understand that he wants to protect himself (though the gun is absolute overkill against unarmed people) and then he also tells them what to do as if he had any more rights than they, just because he pulled a weapon.
I'm sorry, but I side with the guy absolutely. His reasoning is fine, he was recording what he thought was possible domestic abuse, then they started shouting at him and running up to him. That would have put ANY OF US into defence mode, the difference between us and him? He can defend himself from multiple assailants since he has a right to carry a gun. I didn't take away he was thinking he was bigger or better than them, or that he has more rights, he was trying to defend himself after telling these people *multiple* times to keep back from him.
I absolutely think he was in the right with his thinking and his actions. Telling them to "get in their car and drive away" isn't bossing them around, it's protecting himself and giving them a way out of the situation without being shot. If they'd stopped their aggressive posturing and attempting to chase him down, he'd have had no reason to pull a gun, and I accept his reasoning that despite pulling the weapon - the guys *continued* to advance, so he got more aggressive and defensive.
sadly in here, it will be illegal, and they can sue you, and your license revoked
here, in order to pull a gun, you need to be threatened with a gun
it's called reasonable defense, same with a knife - if they pull a knife, only then you can pull a knife, else you're going to jail..

Question:
Can anyone get a gun in 'the balkans', legally of course?
And, where in 'the balkans' is 'here'?
not really, you need a reason to get a gun, like you're military/police or security
and you need to pass a psy test to get a licence, and you need to have a safe at home where to keep the gun, else you need to keep it at a precinct
also there is no open carry, it needs to be concealed, unless you're police/military in uniform
and you get like 30-50 bullets, no more, all accounted, if you shoot some you need to explain in paper (at a range they give you spare ammo)

Bulgaria
What exactly do you mean with concealed? Like, inside your jacket/pant pocket or a special carry-case (that presumably has a lock on it).

Conclusion: The device is a simple vintage arcade game emulator. Experts in the field call this a Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator (MAME). It is a simple computer that runs video games found in video arcades located in shopping malls during the late 1970s.
It is unknown why the Observer hand-built this device. The device appears to have little use other than simple amusement. Like his love for the victim, it is speculated that the suspect's human emotions were getting the best of him.
Next, I will attempt to make the perfect strawberry milk shake.

I side with pumpy more than the guy. I can see the guys reasoning I suppose to some extent, but not the way he went about it. When the girl AND the guys point out its not a rape, or a women being beaten, and just a drunken argument he should have understood..both sides are telling him its fine.
And either way, I myself, don't buy or support the idea of pulling a gun and 'almost killing someone' because you don't know the situation. I see it as using the defense "I didn't know his motives, there is a chance he might have punched me and hurt me so I shot him to be on the safe side". You hear that reasoning for it in the US far too often.
Too many people in the US get shot in situations that didn't need a gun, but people pulled them because it was the quick, easy, ultimate display of "I can win, don't make me win this way" trying to scare people off. And a moment of panic over what might have been a fight fist you both walk away from the next day, turns into a twitch reaction of pulling the trigger in panic, and one of them is in the morgue.
Hell in my city alone, turn on the nightly news at least once a week some story of "Man was shot during an argument on the north/east/etc side of town last night..police are investigating the situation...(ect ect)."
Tell them you have a gun, and willing to use it if needed. Dont whip it out waving it at people because you are scared. Thats the WORST time to be pointing the business end at people, when you are scared, unsure, and trying to defuse a situation.
You dont use a gun as a human version of a frilled lizard display..you should use it when needed as a LAST resort, not as a threat display.
I think its a bit oxymornic the way americans see cops vs everyday citizens here in the US: "Police are out of hand, they will whip a gun out in any situation brandishing it at people, they should only use displays of force in critical extreme situations"
and then turn around and go:
"He totally did the right thing, a drunk guy was running at him, him pulling the gun and waving at him is the correct response".
If that would have been a cop doing it, people would be outraged here in the US..But some average guy that took his 1 hour course on learning the basics which end the bullet leaves doing it is ok

I don't really want to get into everything right now, but I will say this;

I'd sooner shoot someone than allow them to drag me into a fist fight. Sorry. "Fist fights" might sound cool and macho, but they're not, there's every chance that someone isn't walking away from a fist fight because people always go for the head when you're on the ground. If I had to choose between putting a bullet in someone and protecting myself, or getting dragged into a scuffle with multiple attackers that might end up with me being paralysed or brain damaged?
That person is getting a bullet.
I say that as someone that has seen far too much drunken violence from thuggish chavs that like to kick people in the head when they're down. It sounds to me like the people complaining over this have never been put in the situation where they're scared for their safety, never had to deal with drunken or thuggish louts ... or, as in some of the YT comments, keyboard warriors "I'd have decked him, m8, I swear on me mum, dont need no gun, m8, I'm wellard I am"

I wasnt saying that its cool or macho. Im against any senseless violence myself doesn't solve anything. I saw waaay too many people in prison getting "cell counseling" (ganged up on in a cell and beaten when guards are busy) over things like snack cakes they owe, or wandering into the wrong part of the yard without asking.
And there is a big difference between a drunken gang of chavs or thugs looking for trouble for some fun, and a drunk fratboy arguing with his girlfriend.
Maybe its my viewpoint on it. Maybe 1 out of 100 fights of drunken middle class guys at a bar here in the US end in someone having a bone broken or needing minor medical attention, but 100 out of 100 people shot during the same fights end up in the hospital.

if he had used his gun, he would have gone to jail for life.
A hysteric woman (who was mostly hysteric because of the guy filming in the first place lol) is not a reasonable cause to use lethal action against (maybe if you're a cop rofl).
Some couple yelling at each other. So what. Who doesn't do that every now and then (sure, some less, some more). But that sure doesn't mean there will be violence.
Furthermore (oh yes i did), filming someone against his/her consent is illegal indeed. Even more so if you ask to fucking stop it lol.
The guy is like a troll with a gun who almost panicked and screamed like a crazed moron who was almost making a nonsense situation into a mass murder.

Just my 2 cents.
Do we even know which state this is? Each state has different laws with some having a standyourground law. He need not kill them either, there are other places to shoot than the head or vital area.
Last but not least I think you don't fully understand portrait rights, especially within the US. You're not even from the US and you're making a lot of assumptions here.
Just my 2 cents of insight here, might be illegal after all but those are all assumptions.
