Yet another "MOBA"? No thanks, I'll stick with Dota 2.

There's not really any more money to be made in MOBA games anymore, way too much competition. Just look at how Petroglyph (Good ol' Westwood) is doing with their MOBA game Rise of Immortals.

It's going to be free-to-play.

A whole lot?

Free to play or not though, the market is already way too saturated for this to succeed.

Saturated? Hell no. Look at MMOs.

a MMO require more dedication (more hours) from a player, and still there are way more MMOs out there than MOBAs, waaaayyy more.

Dota2, LoL, HoN, Dota1 are pretty hardcore MOBAs, there is enough room for growth towards the casual market. I believe there is still a lot of money to be made in the MOBA genre, especially if a company can somehow lower the skill requirement and learning curve so that more ppl can have more fun.

I know I would play them, despite being a veteran Dota2, Dota1 and HoN player. Big problem for me is the amount of stress each game, I would really want a casual MOBA game where it's more PvE oriented. Smile Would be fun and a nice change from Dota2 now and then.

Neither Dota 1 or 2 make any money.

Yet. Smile ( refering to Dota 2 )
It's in beta after all, would be a dick move by VALVe to have betatesters use their money to try out functions.

What does this have to do with market saturation? But thanks for pointing out captain obvious. Razz

RoI is failing because that game is a piece of shit.

There's plenty of room in the genre because, as of now, only LoL, HoN and Dota 2 are decent (and Dota 2 isn't even out yet). The rest are complete trash. If this game isn't complete trash, people will play it.

no publicity for this one because stardock really dropped ball on it, didnt invite enough players into beta, can barely get games going, i still remember hon beta, updates every week, lots of heroes lots of changes, here, one patch in 2 months with barely any changes, it went to the point where they went and said they have to change the game in some way, stopped following them so not sur ewhat they changed or still changing

Seems like such a gigantic waste to develop this game with that studio. God why.

It's actually very depressing. I think the last thing any fan of the sins games want, is a god damn moba.

Well, it's out.

It uses the DOTA 2 model of every hero being free, so it's worth trying if you like the genre.

Started as something different, ended up being pretty much the same as the rest, with so little content to show after what seems like good 5 years in development, with 2-3 years of in some sort of beta/buy in access. There is still no ranking system in game...
You cant do moba that is same as the rest, sure they got few quests, but I am pretty sure every new moba does it as well, dawngate, deadbread , hos.
Dawngate was really polished fluid moba, with not much new and even that failed.
