Though he is right, that stable pathetic fps can be less annoying than higher but instable fps.

I beg to differ, 30fps gives me eyestrain, little drops about 0.5% of the time doesn't, easy option
Plus also, rather lower graphics and 60fps than higher with 30fps..

I guess that for only old people like me, that played competitive fps games for many years, fps is more important than graphics

Not only for that... anything that relies heavily on movement I will always go for smooth 60.
The times I didn't go for that was due to being forced by lacking hardware.

Sure, if You play competively
but for easy sp games? Not end of the world |
Yeah I've seriously tried it before, to cap to 30 because maxed out couldn't reach stable 60, but after some time my eyes just start to itch and tear and I get a headache.
Could be because I haven't played a game on 30fps for over 10 years and am most likely not used to it anymore.
Even television or movies on 24fps are just not pleasant for me anymore, i always boost them up to 60.

Nah, not really. I've started my gaming carrier with Quake many, many years ago and was in esports for a veeeery long time, but here, i sacrificed those stable 60 fps for 45 for jaw dropping graphic |
Wait how did you had to sacrifice fps with 3 times a 970? SLI scaling bad in this game?!

Your eyes shouldn't hurt... You might not like how it looks or feels but eyestrain is extreme reaction. |
Actually terrible framerate can cause almost strobelike effects in motion. It is very subjective, some people manage to not notice it much, somehow.

I think for me in this game its the fact that I play completely in first person that makes 30 fps such an eyestrain. there are games where I can tolerate it.
Here i tried the half vysnc mode and got nauseous within the 10 seconds.

That is seldomy the case. The stutter in 24fps video isnt so much better than video games, that it doesnt matter. 24p just plain sucks if you see its effects. Again, its subjective.

It's good but it somehow makes me sick... even with highest fov... and I am never changing default fov cause it's never bothering me (yes, played it with 60fps and mouse)
