LOL! Police forces where firing at criminals that stole 2 suite cases, join the party or leave a policeman said so i killed those thieves. After that a cop screamed "nobody touch those suit cases, these are evidance". Picked them up and stole 10.000
Anyone have the original files from the common package that this mod replaces? Would be very thankfull if someone could upload them.
the mod introduced some odd graphical artifacts for me(telephone poles in distance being 2l ines of pixels instead of 1 line, a wierd lighter radious around a car and some other stuff)
and silly me forgot to backup the common package. do have the update package files though.
edit: update backup file seems to be corrupted so would need those too >_<
Files are visualsettings.dat for both packages and timecycle folder
Story wasn't that great, and later on the mission had a lot of "throw a shit ton of enemies" scenarios, but overall, great game.
Taking a break now before I get some online action as after 110 hours, I need something else for sake of variety.
And I was counting on you to guide me into the evil online world, since I'm like a lost baby
It seems that after months spent getting angry like a honey badger, the so called technicians of the tube have replaced my faulty line with...another identical one, only not broken. The speed still sucks but in 3-4 hours I haven't encountered any disconnections so far.
So yeah, I really need to finish the SP as well, so I can launch myself into the online (I bet it's already too late, knowing the community there will probably be dinosaurs flying in the sky, giant killer cats, invincible hitmans and 1k tanks roaming in the streets as we speak )
Me and werelds are just starting up as well, we haven't encountered giant pussies or invincible hitmens yet though
Everything went better than expected . If I see you guys playing I'll jump in then, though I'm really the Jon Snow version of Trevor. Fuck ups will definitely happen xD
So almost exactly 1 month after starting to play I finished the game story. I didn't want it to end, and when the credits started rolling I found myself thinking: "So another 6-7 years until I have the chance to experience this formidable thing again?"
Anyway, I went with the "Deathwish" ending, there's no way I would have chosen...
Spoiler:
to kill Michael and/or Trevor, that would have felt like killing myself!
Ok now, the story itself wasn't that great, after having played four GTA games (Vice City, San Andreas, IV and V) I still think IV has the best story and the best ensemble of characters. Sadly this game didn't have secondary characters of the caliber of Brucie or Little Jacob, just to name a couple of the fantastic ones from IV. From the protagonist trio I'm afraid Franklin was too much like every previous GTA main hero (laid-back criminal with cool demeanor) and Michael was too cliché, and even more so if you watched The Sopranos.
Trevor on the other hand he was really special! Never played a character like him before, and even though I was supposed to have "control" of him, he still turned out to be so unpredictable on many occasions, and make for a lot of WTF and/or hilarious moments The rest of the cast was OK, but nothing really original.
The gameplay in this was better than ever! It was like San Andreas... on steroids! A big reason for that, IMO, is that the mechanics felt so much better implemented than in any previous title in the series. Some stuff that I still found to be very clumsy (like combat) in GTA IV, here it felt so much more natural, even though I had to admit it also made the game easier. Driving felt indeed a bit weigthless compared to IV like some people have said, but I still preferred it if only because it allowed me for more precision driving and it still was leagues above recent competitors, like both "Dogs" game. Also, I did a shitload of secondary stuff, but still left another huge amount of activities to do later (including finishing the epsilon program). This was mainly because I knew TW3 was coming in a few days and I sincerely have no time for 2 games of this humongous reach silmutaneously.
Anyway, I can't close without giving it to Rockstar for truly mastering their job, they don't even need to come out with some revolutionary gameplay or groundbreaking idea, but the nearly perfect and harmonious way in which they assemble the pieces they create along with the fantastic attention to detail, is simply beaitiful and it is what put their games ahead of nearly everything else in the industry. Also Kudos to them for the fantastic optimization all while putting the peasant versions to shame technically wise
This is my GOTY 2015 so far. Let's see what happens with TW3, Arkham Knight and... Deus Ex MD(???).
I will be trying gta online this weekend and take it slowly with the progression, no need to rush it, really.
