And I was counting on you to guide me into the evil online world, since I'm like a lost baby
It seems that after months spent getting angry like a honey badger, the so called technicians of the tube have replaced my faulty line with...another identical one, only not broken. The speed still sucks but in 3-4 hours I haven't encountered any disconnections so far.
So yeah, I really need to finish the SP as well, so I can launch myself into the online (I bet it's already too late, knowing the community there will probably be dinosaurs flying in the sky, giant killer cats, invincible hitmans and 1k tanks roaming in the streets as we speak )
I'm keeping the game installed. I'll play through black mesa again now, to see how it compares to the old version. then i'll be back, unless I decide to be a rusher and play witcher 3 on release.

Me and werelds are just starting up as well, we haven't encountered giant pussies or invincible hitmens yet though
I will try to join ixi and you guys a bit as well, I just don't plan on playing it religiously as I did the single player portion. If you guys are in the hump group i'll send friend invites

all 4 endings , even Kefflon missions and Alien ... you cant say 100% after those
Yeah, i never don't do 100% in games as I don't suffer from OCD. I did epsilon missions, and everything else I've encountered. Didn't collect all alien parts or letters, as I don't wanna cheat or spend hours upon hours checking every single part of the map. I think I'm around 85% completion in that regard, but at this point, I need a break from the game. I pretty much did all the content I could find without spending hours searching for it.
I did the deathwish ending of course, as the other two options were unnaceptable.
Overall, a beast of a game, and certainly GOTY for me so far. The first person alone lifted the series to unseen heights for me. I cannot emphasize that enough. Breathtaking vistas, dirty dank under bridge hobo hangouts, dare devilish mountain slopes under my bike wheels, the blurred city lights outside the plane window, the game is a freaking living and breathing painting.
If they muster some courage to break away from the classic "cutscene, follow gps, kill baddies" formula for the next game, and add a bit more RPG flavor, they have potential to make a perfect open world game.
~100,000 mods in recent history on popular sites, some fuck head infects 2 of them and suddenly modz r teh bad and 'superficial'
Kinda gives us perspective though. If a PC gamer who doesn't follow modding too much can have such an incorrect outlook on modding, what can we expect from console clowns

Except if your one of those elitzorz moders who got infected and got his whole life turned upside down by some dude who stole his paypal/whatever, thats another perspective.
The point is, this whole thing, shows how vulnerable people who get into modding really are.
Downloading some porn.jpg.exe thing is stupid but these things that don't get picked up by AV's make you feel unsafe, and you are.
