lol, sorry bro but thats no news. you are able to use the standard startmenu with the live tiles, you can go fullscreen like win8 and you cann use standard menu but disable the tiles

possible since 10056 or so, atm there is NO switch for it. you have to do the following steps:
- remove all tiles via rightclick
- hover with the mouse on the right side of the menu -> you will see the doublearrow
- left click and hold to the left to downsize the menu
- have in mind: fullscreen startmenu isnt possible after that and adjusting the high of the menu neither

Question is... Is there now , in the latest builds, an option to "Make icons smaller" in an OFFICIAL WAY, WITHOUT TOUCHING THE SYS REGISTRY ?
If so, is there a chance to show off how they look smaller with a screenshot?.. Also, can you still ,like in W7,draw programs to the Start Menu's top list ? (You know,top list = Favourite/Dragged apps, bottom list = Recently opened apps)
Also..Can you guys show me the colour palette for the Start Menu customization?
Things are starting to look goodie for now!..

Hi guys, I installed the latest build and I have no network connection available. The drivers installed fine, but no adapter shows in network connections. Any ideas?
issue:
Device PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168&SUBSYS_85051043&REV_09\4&45fb534&0&00AA requires further installation.
tried manually installing the win 8 driver no go. It doesnt let the driver install fully complete and times out

but again be careful, that build wasnt supposed to go outside of ms internal testing ring. so maybe u cant update to a newer public release in the future or it may have serious bugs

Hopefully an official build will be released soon.. I'm quite liking the overall Win10 feeling. (using it as my main OS now, just because  )

The offer upgrade from win8...will it require install of winn8 and upgrade it or just plain win10 install using the w8 key?

Supposedly it's only an "upgrade", so you'd need to be on a qualifying OS beforehand, so Win7, Win8 or Win8.1

mh thats still not clear, but i dont think it would be a problem to provide a generic key for installation and after that you just activate it with your 7 ,8 or 8.1 key (just like it was possible to install 8.1 with the generic key and use your 8.0 to activate). and with a small reg entry it was possible to activate win 8 upgrade that way too

It will suck bigtime if I need to reinstall windows 8.1 everytime I wanna reinstall W10.

yep, wasting bandwidth and time if you have to install 8.1 fresh and dl the 10 upgrade via windows update etc and you will always have trash data left on your pc (windows cleanup stuff of old files isnt that precise).

At the moment, a win 8.1 -> 10 upgrade takes what might be classed as a very reasonable amount of time - YMMV depending on how much crap you have currently installed  but it took not very long at all for me - on SSD of course.

Depends.
I would say yes, if you have all your important stuff on other drives, and have your main system disk on SSD, so, wipe and go, repeat and rinse, if needed , it really takes no time at all.
I find it pretty stable, with the odd annoyance here and there, but overall its quite a neat OS. Then again, I have been running 8.11 for a while, so I'm used to things annoying me 
I will say though, for gaming, its the way to go, and if Nvidia can get the right driver set out, I think it may just be the best for doing so.
I would also say no, if you cant be assed with any of the above, and just wait for RTM
