Well.. I can get stable 30fps on all ultra except foliage distance on high.... but the motion blur in this game is horrible... It's not that smoothing kind but this annoying flickering type like in fable 2 which creates ghosting.. It's sickening.
And on top of that, I can't get to 60 without severly lowering everything... damn

Maybe your brain finally realized motion blur is shit.
I found after getting into Novigrad, the vendor had much better prices for half of my stuff. I've collected a lot and noticed some were worth 500 crowns each I think there's better and worse merchants around.
Randomly the game throws me to the Desktop and if i try to click it back it won't go back to the game, forced to open task manager and kill the game. Why is this happening?!. Using latest Nvidia drivers (Yes,the W10 ones) and disabled Hairworks.

No. Maybe Your brain will somehow in the future realize that motion blur is integral part of how frame-by-frame is worked by Your brain.
In real word every motion is blurred more or less depending on it's speed and distance. When each frame is sharp, that's why image appears unnatural and stuttery compared to how camera would capture it, with each frame blurred in motion.
How hard is it to fucking explain that good motion blur is there to help blend sharp frames together, so the image appears more lifelike...
Take a dlsr and record a motionblurless video of waterfall or fountain or fast passing byt car. It can be either 24 or 30fps, no matter. What matter is shutter speed. If You will record it with high shutter speed (like 4000), the waterfall will look fragmented and very unnatural and sort of aliased to eyes. But when recorded with 30-60 shutter speed, each frame is blurred in motion and image appears like in real life. That is impossible to recreate in video games but some games do have better motion blur than others. Just wave hand in front of Your ignorant face. Is it sharp or blurry? ITs god damn blurry. So stop with that bullshit about motion blur being for console derps. fucking ignorants... don't even know what You are talking about.
In games, each frame is super sharp. Like if video recorded with very high shutter speed. That's why motion blur is introduced. That pisses me off to boiling point how ignored this is. Unfortunetely Witcher3 have horrendus implementation of mblur. One of worse I've seen, like in fable2 (well not that bad)
just watch this

So the mouse feels extremely shitty and clunky in the menus and there are black bars on 16:10 version. Quality work CDPR as always, I'm glad I didn't buy this crap
go to graphics options and enable hardware mouse...
As for my previous post. Just to specify - Camera motion blur is fine, object and characters motion blur is what bothers me

Have to say that I liked the alchemy system from witcher 2 more. Felt better preparing and anticipating your prey ahead of time instead of just chugging pots at the start of combat. Only 2 slots is weak as well, maybe you can unlock more?
@prudislav Ahhh so that was it. Was one of the many wild theories going through my head heh. Thanks for the info.

Absolutely loving this game. Great atmosphere and graphics.
My 670 is running at 99% @ 85c with limited 55% fan (to keep the noise down) but hey, they're good for 100c+ if I remember right
Luckily no inventory crash so far, and I don't find movement awkward with the pad, feels fine to me, with its three levels of speed. Obvious this game was designed around it.
The graphics on this game just kept nagging at me, knowing I'd seen this style somewhere else.
Then it hit me.
Remember the quest in Oblivion, where you entered a magical painting? THAT is what this game reminds me of.
I remember that. Oblvion had very memorable quests! but this is not even comparable on a broad scale

I derped out, in that I had preloaded the game, so steam decrypted it and denied refund. Figured I might as well play it then. And I'm kinda glad I did, twitching never felt this good.
68C is perfectly fine Kepler cards start to downclock when they break 80C but really, anything up to and including that is fine, they're tough little buggers Mine "downclocked" from 1.2Ghz to 1137Mhz at the most intensive extended 99-100%/80C mark.
Thanks for the answer, but its kinda weird that, ranging from 55cº to 70, the fans are always at 40%, is it normal? i bumped them to 50% during my witcher playthrought, will it reduce its life? what is a safe limit of % to the fans?
the chips are designed for higher temperatures, so it doesnt reduce their lifetime if they get hot. and 80°C isnt any dangerous. a constant very low temp under heavy load would be much more unhealthy

@KillerCrocker Why add an unnecesary effect when your eye already comes with these features. Cripple the frame rate to force an effect your eye does anyway
ok, thank you for teh pics...
i think its working now, i made a withcer 3 profile in nvidiainspector and enabled ambient occlusion and hbao very high..
its subtile, but it works i think, cant see it really in that spot.. looking for an forest like you have. u can see it better there..

That's just the default fan profile for your card, when the card really starts getting hot that's when the fans turn on and they often turn on too highly. Don't worry, you will do absolutely no harm to your card by increasing the fan speed, you'll just cool it quicker at the cost of increased noise.

They are, but Kepler cards are hardwired to throttle down the core frequencies when you go over 80C, so you may actually be running a little worse off than you could be.
.. and yes, the game is outstanding just as we hoped - and expected! - it would be. The world design, the quests, the characters, just great. Overall I'm not massively impressed with the visuals (less so due to the insane system requirements) but the character models and facial expressions are glorious. It's simply too large though, much like Skyrim and Dragon Age Inquisition, so I'm very worried about burning out the more I play.

So far, I don't know if the open world helped this game tbh. There's loads of nothing. Looooads of it. If there were more dungeons/caves and stuff it'd be better. I'm not very far in yet but it just feels like their linear smaller areas worked better in previous games.
My thoughts exactly Sometimes smaller, or more linear, worlds can be beneficial. When I see such an enormous world like this one, I actually feel overwhelmed by it.
