Please, for the love of god, do not be rubbish. I need a good RTS like a smack addict needs a fix right now. |
From the few previews that I read it seems that the game is quite solid, not innovative but just classic RTSauce a-la 'Red Alert meets Wargame', which is great on paper. Let's hope the single player campaign is as good as Act of War's also.

Wargame killed me in SP. I had to remember how to use my braincells to win with minimum or no losses (units are getting experience in Wargame and elite units are invaluable and cost to bring them on the field a kidney or such, but they do make a difference, plus older units doesn't mean that they are useless - they just need to be used in specific situations). So i expect Act of Aggression to be at least enjoyable.

About time a proper RTS with a proper budget and proper developer know-how came out. Grey Goo was too simplistic and primitive and seemed to catter to every type of gamer, even the ones in diapers. Remember guys? The days before consolization of everything? When it seemed that a new strategy game came out every week. Proper strategy games, like this, not the gazilion low budget steam greenlit games of today, made with ccouple hundred dollars by a guy and his sister.

Act of War was/is a great game.
In singel player its one of the best RTS ever imo.
Starcraft, Red Alert II and Act of War is at the top for me. (and c&c generals)

Seams they try to improve it after the beta feedback, in other words it's good news they listen.
