its true, dev said on twitter more coming next week prolly.

Battleroyale is broken atm due to gameplay changes and the lighting system, + they nerfed the rewards.

I put the game on hold till I see the next patch changes in BR.

Twas Mr. Smedley himself!
And anyone with a bit of history knowledge of SOE knows how much value that has! Laughing

(tho in all honesty, he's doing a lot better than in the past. Changed it so much that I start taking him somewhat serious again. )

dont like the lighting right now it is not finished or problematic they say so hope they tone it down its so bright and nextgen and makes the textures look grainy really.

The lighting is great at night, but in the day time it's so damn bright it feels like it's at the height of summer at 1pm in the afternoon while walking on a glass surface!

It's also laggy as fook compared to previously, in the towns

never had lag in h1z1 locked at 60fps and it dont vary from that. New lighting or old.

Really? Everyone in my team noticed it in the big cities on EU servers

I wouldnt say lag as such, but I've noticed that my 60fps lovely game has suddenly gotten lower fps in certain parts of cities, tends to happen after about half an hour of playtime, probably a memory leak or might have been down to the loot bug issues they've had since the previous patch.

Haven't had a chance to test the game since the last loot changes which rolled out this morning.

Just had a hilarious BR experience.

Down to last area, theres a tree right on the border of the gas that im hiding behind.

Two guys who had teamed up running around, laughing talking to each other. They dont spot me. After a few minutes they are like "it must just be us two"

Then

"hey lets fist fight for the win"
"Ok"
"put all your weapons on the floor!
"ok"
"take your helmet off"
"alright"

all while I'm laughing behind the tree, eventually one guy knocks the other out, they are laughing at each other, after about 10 seconds the knocked out guy goes "hey wait, were not the last two"

I emerge from the tree, the last guy is squealing over the mic, I take him out. He took it well we were all laughing.

fun times.

it's a bit less focused on realism and more streamlined and most importantly with much better performance.

other than that, it's the same like all the games in the genre. Full of kids, trolls, fake friendlies, groups that gank newbies, and the occasional odd good guy encounter.

Haven't played in a while though.

H1Z1 is actually good fun and coming along just fine, some nice additions of late and good insight to the road ahead has been spoken of. I am hoping its not all baloney but they say the forgelight 2 engine as of now is in test of large scale open world of 16000km2 and will be achieved.

smeds words of course Razz but lets see. the vision of course is large city placements controlled by players and defended by players over large world map areas.

either way not sure why people just post here with shit like "its all crap move along" etc etc. The game is nicely fluid and never has frame issues, I am sure sausje would love it.
