ok! I"m a pussy cat and since my sister raised me most of my life i spent my child years watching horror flicks. To this day - yaddi yadda - i can't sleep if the closet in my room is open and if my bed sheet is touching the floor. Now. This movie. Is it reallllllly scary? I want to watch it. I got it on dvd and dvdrip and all that mumbo jumbo just haven't had the guts to watch it yet. HOW scary is it? HOW bad is it?

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

Fuck u guys, i would bring a gun...serious...when i go camping way the fuck out north I always have a gat with me...bears, wolves etc

I swear I would bring a gun with me into any cave I decided to seriously explore like that, tourist or not..Smile Mind u, if I got there and saw a ton of cars and shit like that, and nuff ppl...i mightconsider not bringing it, but fuck...the hole they go down doesn't look like a tourist spot. Not to mention, i would have to check shit out like that before hand, to be satisfied...no fuckin way I'd depend on someone, and then not bring a map? or least a fuckin compass?

I dont see how u guys wouldnt bring a gun....Confused and or some kinda stabbing weapon, besides a rock axe and a pocket knife...machete, butterfly knives, maybe a switch blade, army knife etc

Guns are disallowed in most countries, you know?

And, like I described. They trusted her, she was supposed to be the one who handled that. I think it's realistic. I've followed a couple of friends hiking, one of them said he knew the area, and why the fuck shouldn't I trust him? I've known him for a long time, and even though it's complete wilderness, I feel rather safe - basically all wild life that's out there is a hell of a lot more afraid of me, than I of it.

What use is a compass btw. when you're travelling vertically?
I did some n00b cave climbing in some caves in Sweden, and it's not unusual to go through tighter passages.

Sounds like you've got claustrophobia man Wink - maybe this movie got to you more than you care to admit, eh? Wink)

The whole purpose is to challenge yourself.

Haven't you ever done that, are you living a too secure life? Wink

Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

I think Fisk has covered pretty much everything.

Syco, you're being unrealistic, not least because over here in england hardly anyone has access to a handgun. Unless you're going hunting you don't carry a rifle either. It's england for fucks sake, whats going to attack you? A rabid sheep?

No...I challenge myself all the time, and have accomplished alot.
But climbing into a cave, unarmed, is not something I would do - if the eventuality could be planned for.

Ok, fine, not all of them having guns, I can go along with that. But the chick who changed the location - she knew they were going somewhere unexplored and should have taken the precaution, just in case.

And they were in the US, so a gun would be legal, especially for the leader chick, she was american right...

And the same woman goes on about safety and shit, yet she doesnt report their new location to the proper authorities? Keeping it a surprise from your friend's is one thing, not telling rescue where your going to be is retarded...no matter how "brave" you are.

Im tellin ya, I was thinkin about this shit before they go through the first little passage...Neutral

Were they in the US? Is there ever an indication of that, it's been a few months since I watched it.

As for the leader chick acting that way, well, thats all part of the story. She was complacent and reckless, it's as simple as that.

Character flaws in a movie don't bother me at all, they don't need to be explained, because it's the human condition to make mistakes. The only thing that bothers me in films (apart from the obvious e.g. shit acting), is continuity and plot holes.

So they didn't come prepared to fight an army. Most people wouldn't. I don't see how that can be a flaw in a movie. Because the characters didn't do what you would do, it makes it a bad film?

Now, stuff like kids being enveloped in a wall of fire and then surviving without a scratch, or certain select electrical items working after a massive EMP blast, that pisses me off. (war of the worlds).
