It seems that Nathan Drake's impressive new-gen mug will start sweating and bleeding all over your PS4 by March 31, 2016. That's according to new financial documents from Sony, which include Uncharted 4: A Thief's End in a slide detailing its Fiscal Year 2015 strategy.
Yes, that part was especially astounding. I wonder how much freedom you will have in that section. Previous Uncharted games were pretty linear in each aspect, here it looked like you were at least able to choose a path at some points.

I'm really impressed with the graphics the PS4 is putting out. You'll need to spend at least 2x the cost of a PS4 of PC parts to get similar visuals. I guess that's what's possible if you only have to optimize for 1 hardware config.
Why is that soooo amazing? Yeah it looks decent but nothing more. When i got my ps3 back in "cant remember when", I got to play uncharted 1 I was like: omg.....this is mediocore at best....then I played the 2nd.......it got a bit better but still not a "OMG shit my pants, im gonna blow etc etc thing"
I think this series is built much more around the "naughty dog" and the "franchise" keyword rather than the actual gameplay/game. Same with Last of us. It's a very decent game, but GOTY? No. Or wait...yes, but it's mainly that particular year's fault rather then the year's success. Yeah the voiceacting and the cutscenes were very well constructed but apart from that....and please don't get me started on the story/character development thingy....It's always a nice addition to the material but nothing more.
And as usual my main problem is not X people enjoying the game over the top...it's that EVERYONE, literally EVERY single fucking one speaks like the game is the god himself.
It looks amazing but I hope it's more like U3 rather than u1 and u2... just shooting and shooting and shooting one room after another.
The driving section was great but It would not drive as intuitive during normal gameplay and repeating sections liek that always suck

I can honestly say I was blown away by Uncharted 2 and 3 (third one mostly on a graphical level). 720p aside, I still consider them one of the nicest looking games I've seen. Not because they have super-sharp textures or cutting edge lighting and tesselation, but because they cramp tens of silly little details and combine them into a fantastic, moving and believable image. There's just nothing missing in ND games. Characters move as human beings should, not like dressed up dolls, objects act as physics tell them to, snow stays on clothes and melts away leaving them damp and so on and so on. And ND knew how to craft every single scene to make use of all that perfectly. UC4 seems like all that, but done even better, with huge maps and a lot, lot more interactivity with objects.
The graphics, interactivity, detail and stunts were amazing in 1 and 2 (more in 2)
But characters were barely developed, story was just bad and uninteresting and kill count vs puzzles and exploring was way too high. 1k kills in U1 and over 1k in u2.
U3 balanced it for me. Had more interesting characters, story, best graphics and finally - smaller kill count. about 500 in the whole game so much elss than each of games before. And the difficulty was more balanced and not stupidly ramped up in last hours.
Please note that I've played all 3 years ago in one week, one after another. I never want to think again about first game... coule replay second but only with 1080p aa graphics and on easy. Third game I could just honestly replay. Just cut in half the stealth level from beginning

As much as I m know I'm gonna get bashed by this, I gotta agree with KC.
But this is because I probably played all 3 games at once rather than each game during their time of release.
I think to people uncharted 1 and 2 are better than 3 because they played it years before 3 so the aspect of surprise was more so.
When you play all 3 at a time, your reaction is different.
And I gotta agree with KC, UC1 is the worst of all 3 to me too.
sigh, another late PS3 adopter hating on Uncharted.
you simply can't comprehend love for Uncharted most people feel because you didn't play UC at the time it was coming out. when all other games looked brown and grey with vaseline effect in years 2007-2010, uncharted came out that blew everyone away with lively, crisp, colorful, saturated graphics, rich jungles and amazing locales to traverse and explore.
i can go on and on but you will never understand me. just like kids nowadays can't comprehend and understand why older gamers love NES, SNES, Sega, PS1 games.
Yeah, the first one was visibily weaker. As for the rest... dunno. I think I've enjoyed 2nd more than the 3rd, but I do agree gameplay itself was better in the last game. Something just didn't click for me as well as in the second, don't know what. I like the dynamic between Sully and Drake, though - it was cool to see it explored more.

And another guy who can't read.
Where did I say I HATED uncharted ?
It's one of my favorite franchise ever.
The only thing is that I was not as excited about uncharted 2 as you were.
Again, I played Uc3 as soon as it leaked, and I was excited as hell and loved every bit of it.
What I'm saying is that YOU and most early adopter didn't like Uc3 much compared to UC1 and 2, which isn't my case. UC3 was simply the best to me and KC underlined his reason which are the same for me : less shooting, less corridors and more puzzle and action made it better to me.
Now to each his own. I'm looking forward to UC4, just not as much as UC3, that's for sure.
uc2 had better locations, setpieces, far superior and more atmospheric ost, and the best train level of all times.
uc3 had slightly better gfx and that was about it.
Never played any of the Uncharted games so I'm looking forward to the UNCHARTED: The Nathan Drake Collection.. are they quite similar to Last of Us, but more combat heavy?
