Same, except it didnt try to update at all, just told me i didnt have dx, which i have, and have reinstalled..
So i had to take the huge zip file from each cd, extract it to a new folder on my harddrive, then copy the speed.exe and play.. LoL!!
They cant make a proper installation, but its possible to do that to play the game without having to enter any cdkey? EA Rocks!!!

I'd be very interested if someone could come up with an answer why some people can use DT4 only for starforce/sf7/sr4 (I can) without disconnecting cables/disabling controllers and others can't. I've seen it work without a hitch on motherboards with nForce3 & VIA chipsets. The common denominator is that the users are using the chipset drivers for IDE controllers, not those that came with WinXP. I have no idea if that's got anything to do with it.

1. There was a crackdown (no pun intended) on crackgroups. A couple of crackers left, keeping their heads down from flak.
2. It looks like it's getting easier and easier to use cloned images. No "burn in 1x in RAW/DAO mode", no "run this set of tools, that mess up your system", no "disconnect cables" etc.. At the moment, a lot of people can play all starforce, securom & safedisc clones with Daemon Tools 4 without doing anything else.

yeah, but the only problem is that we want to burn this shit rather than take up hard drive space.
that's why we want cracked versions.
this game takes up like 6.5 gigs if you keep the cd images and the game files.

No, cd1 is enough... And a solution would be to burn the images as files to cdr's/a dvd'r and mount it from the cdr/dvdr if HD-space is a problem.

ok so now i got it started the Need For Speed Most Wanted Black Edition - HKZonda release but the thing is aint i supose 2 have the american mussle car the cobalt ss 67 in the beginning or some thing like that cuz i havent seen it yet /

ever heard of "burning as data files?" u buy a regular dvd for 60cent and u burn as data the 4cds.

The muscle car that is extra for the BE is only avaliable in Quick race mode. It's "hidden" under "Bonus cars"...
