Same here |
For me too. All IGN E3 videos I watched were like this.
Used Chrome-Audio-EQ and put all levels to the max
http://lab.ejci.net/Chrome-Audio-EQ/
so I didn't have to increase the whole system volume a lot.

The game looks fucking great. Love the building designs, love that you could connect different games into one, love that the Moon is a big map unlike the sea floor in 2070.

Right, thanks for your input. Honestly, though, who the fuck cares? If you don't like the setting, go back to playing the previous titles.

I prefer historical settings too, but the additions introduced in 2070 (ecobalance, catastrophes...) were really fun while keeping core gameplay intact.
2205 tho... I dunno, hope they don't fuck it up.

Man fuck A.D., I want Before 10,000. I want to manage my caveman tribe's expansion, interacting with different tribes, destroy lesser genes or assimilate inferior cultures into world's first empire. Build rafts to transport goods down the river and kill Mammoths to upgrade my caves into woolen shacks. And harvest berries to keep the local vegan faction happy.

TBH, I would love to see an interstellar Anno. Basically a space 4X game with the usual Anno building mechanics on the planets, but without the "Exterminate" part. Explore, Expand, Exploit.

My butt doesn't hurt, thank you for worrying. People rejecting / resisting change I regard as pointless, though.

http://www.guru3d.com/news_story/ubisoft_cancels_pre_order_beta_anno_2205.html
Quote: |
Ubisoft slash dev Blue Byte decided to cancel the Anno 2205 pre-order beta. Instead the people who purchased the pre-order will receive an exclusive vehicle and social emblem when the game is released November 3rd.
In a post on the German Ubisoft forums, the publisher announced the cancellation of the closed beta, access to which was included with pre-orders made over the last few weeks. No explanation was given for the cancellation, but the planned November 3 release date has not been altered at this stage, Ubisoft said.
Dear Anno players and fans,
As you may know, Anno 2205 will be playable for the first time by fans at Gamescom next week. We are indeed very excited to put the game in the players’ hands and we will look forward to receiving feedback at this occasion. However, we won’t be able to hold the previously announced closed beta. Still, we can’t wait to take you to the moon on November 3rd.
As a reward for your engagement, and because we want to thank our most loyal players, the development team is making sure to provide an in-game bonus for those of you who have or will pre-order the game before release. More details will be revealed in the coming weeks, but here’s a preview of this unlockable item.
For those of you who pre-ordered Anno 2205 in store, you will get this exclusive Command Ship and also an exclusive Corporation Emblem with the provided code.
If you pre-ordered the game digitally, you will receive it shortly before release from our digital partners.
We are looking forward to delivering Anno 2205, which represents for us a key evolution of the Anno franchise.
Best,
The Anno 2205 team
Anno 2205 is the sixth game in the series and set further into the future of any before it – in case the title didn’t give that away. It will be playable at gamescom 2015 this week.
Seriously, people should stop pre-ordering games for these betas. The devs get tons of money and cashflow for an unfinished game and meanwhile you get a free vehicle to use in the final game, sheesh.

Amen to that, I was hoping they would go back in time Anno 1062 or Anno 810 or something, or better still pre-history! I love 1404 but could never get into 2070. But, of course I knew they would continue going forwards, space is the next logical step I suppose.

Anno 1404 was the best Anno, from my point of view. I've played all the Anno, but the one that still stand on my HDD is 1404. 2070 felt souless, empty and fell flat for me. Really wouldn't like to see a new futuristic Anno...

This.
In my mind it would replace the islands with fertilities idea with solar systems with different kinds of planets.
Set up trade routes from industrial solar systems with your systems with terran planets to provide them with the resources they want.
