Never played any of the Uncharted games so I'm looking forward to the UNCHARTED: The Nathan Drake Collection.. are they quite similar to Last of Us, but more combat heavy?
they are more gameplay oriented (with plenty of insane setpieces) and less story oriented than last of us, though since its written by the same writer, it still has better and more witty dialogues than 99% of shooters.

I seriously hope their intelligence has grown to a common level for this game. Just played through the series again, and i just cannot believe how much cheesy shit was in it. You kill 500 enemies, no problems, and a cutscene appears and some silly shit happens and you're disarmed by some fodder and of course the main boss just comes walking in, as if he was just 10 meters away from you the whole time. It's the same crap over and over and over through the 3 games.
Not to mention how Drake became some overly good hero and won't kill the villains, about to abandon everything for the sake of the life of some unknown person, which feels really out of character and plain and simply stupid. Just doesn't work for me in a game where you're basically a mass murdering thief who's set out to find your ancestors secret by any means necessary.
IN A CINEMATIC GAME SUCH AS THIS THE GAMEPLAY AND THE CINEMATICS NEEDS TO BE CONSISTENT.
The constant drama and someone new always trying to make him stop his quests gets annoying.
Other than that the games are fairly decent, and i love the banter!
You could level the same criticism at many, if not most, action and action/adventure movies out there, starting with Indiana Jones - who obviously served as Drake's template. Sure, the amount of enemies around isn't that huge, but the movies don't take 10+ hours to watch and besides, in the end it doesn't really matter - there's still mass murdering going on, if that's how you wanna paint it. Character development ih these kinds of flicks is also equally simple, if it happens at all. It's just that kinda of a story, you either take it or you don't, IMO.
I knew whatever ND cooks up for the PS4 will be great, after seeing what they've managed to do with poor ol' PS3, but actually seeing this stuff now... holy fuck
