After reviewing a few of my seldom used Apps, I noticed Intuit has released their newet versions of Quickbooks 2006 and TurboTax 2005. Historically the scene has been very quick to release them but it's very strange that no groups have offered releases and no requests posted on the usual portals/forums ..... does anyone besides me care ?

Do you guys use cracked copies to file taxes over the internet?

No ..... the releases provided by the scene is normally retail copies requiring no serials or cracks. Of course, even if it were cracked, I just use the app and print them out for snail mail forwarding.

Ahh... ok ...still ... don't know why anyone wouldn't file online. That plus giving them your bank # = instant rebate almost Very Happy

lucky you ... unfortunately, for the last 5 yrs I haven't been able to itemize sufficiently to get a refund .... I guess someone has to pay uncle sam .... God knows corporate America seems to keep most of their money Rolling Eyes

ahh ... I've been a student for the last few years so basically I don't pay any taxes with tuition credit and stuff...

... this year however, I'll be paying more since I work fulltime now Sad

If done properly you shouldn't get any money back from your taxes. After all the money you get back is 'yours'. I personally don't want to loan the government money and not get any sort of interest out of it, I've got better things to do with my weekly paycheck. Wink

Well ... I like getting money back Wink It's like a bonus after christmas to help out with the money you blew over christmas Very Happy

I get the correct amount taken out of my paycheck now, but I still have lots of tuition credits left (since you can save them for 5 years) and rent credits = big fat refund Wink

But it would be impossible to figure out deductions prospecitvely. Even if you could, you would have to do it every week for your paycheck. Sounds like a pain in the ass to me. But you're right that you're essentially giving the Man an interest-free loan (although a pretty tiny one).

@jimripper It's not really that difficult, depending on your industry. I agree that if your pay fluctuates a lot during the year it is difficult..but if you are setup on a specific salary per year it is easy. Depending on your yearly earnings would depend on what tax bracket you are put in and with some careful planning you are aware up front of what deductions you will receive at the end of the year.

For the past 3 years I've been within $30.00 when Tax time rolls around. However, to each his own, I understand that for some people it is more of a savings plan for them than anything. It's just that for me I need every weekly paycheck for myself and I have my own methods for investment.

hey folks ... just saw TurboTax Premium w/State 2005 being shared on various forums ... looks like retail edition .... the State Tax plugin download is available on a schedule basis .... for example, the California State plugin won't be available until 03 Jan, etc. no crck or serial required .... now I'll wait for "It's Deductible 2005" .... companion software that records your various charitable contributions and then uploads the data into TurboTax ... sweet Smile
