I suspect all three will go to Sky now and run a similar show, in a similar format. I wouldn't worry too much.

i hope so. all top gear fans will instantly transition to new show and BBC's cash cow is over.

as long as they bring back their epic international cross country odysseys (which i doubt is a concept bbc can 'own') then i'll be happy.

so fucking angry bbc denied me that last season... i sat through all that shit (amberlamps thing aside, because that was fantastic old-time top gear doing shit right!) and just before the payoff, bbc goes "nope, shutting everything done because we're being dickheads". There is no god damn reason the other 2 couldn't present the episodes on their own for shits sake!

Top Gear is coming back next season with an all new presenting cast, since Clarkson is gone and Hamster and Captain Slow have refused to go back without him. The new host of Top Gear...

It's Netfix, so I reckon it's a good bet they'll get a great budget compared to BBC. At the very least, I bet Clarkson gets hot cooked meals Troll Dad

To be fair their BBC budget was pretty big. Not saying it wont be the same or anything

We'll see. They are about to lose that rare quality BBC had of being a government owned business and therefor no corporate sponsors could haev influence on the program. Hopefully Netflix wont care, but they are heavy product placement users in their other shows

well, they are pretty big stars so I guess they do have some rights to block absurd placements.

Wasnt entirely my point but sure. Im talking about Netflix potentially curbing the edge of the show cause they have a promotion deal iwth X/Y/Z car manufacturer. Which is partly why Top Gear was so great. They had no commitment to financial interests. Netflix does stand a bit on the outside of "conventional" media still.

sure but then again... it wouldn't be a proper car show anymore.
I wouldn't be very fond of watching episode after episode about crushing caravans/RV's

That's nice to hear, these guys are always so great together. I wonder if the name of the new show will poke some fun at Top Gear Razz (perhaps even with an alternative Stig, free to swear as much as he wants xD)
