Anyone else get Phys copy of the game? |
That doesn't make sense, physical copy will give you steam key and install steam version. |
Actually when I got GTA V I got phys copy and I didn't have to install steam.. I prefer phys copy cause i'm oldschool I guess :^)

Theres a thread on steam warining people. You install like 5GB on 5 discs and download the rest. So dont do it.

Gotta say i'm still waiting to see someone debunk Saints Row 2. After all these years i don't rmbr anyone getting close. |
Haha When I played isodemo of SR2 I though it was some kind of elaborate DRM but not a bad port
After all this bad comments I'm tempted to install AK just to see how bad it really is. |
Haha indeed, the good ol' Saints Row 2, a true legend among the porting nightmares. It (finally) runs fine today, I wonder if we will be able to say the same about Batman in 2022 when hardware capable of running it at 60fps will be released.
I'm starting to think that perhaps Nvidia did me a favour when they didn't give me this game for free after buying the new card

Quote: | With its crippled frame-rate, poor streaming, pared back feature set and bloated minimum and recommended hardware spec, Arkham Knight is bitterly disappointing and should never have been released in this sorry state. There's a massive amount of work required to get this version of the game into shape - as things stand, the experience is totally unacceptable. |

Well time machines aren't a thing yet, and 60fps with Gameworks enabled in this game is a privilege that only our grandchildren will be able to witness. It was the only way!

Actually, disabling DOF and Motion blur, i get a stable 60fps with all gameworks turned on. Using 780(not ti). Before turnig it off, the fps fluctuated between 60-25

That Nvidia trailer also shows rain on his mask. So either A) at one point those effects worked on PC, or B) they spliced in console footage.

Quote: | Dear Batman: Arkham Knight PC owners,
We want to apologize to those of you who are experiencing performance issues with Batman: Arkham Knight on PC. We take these issues very seriously and have therefore decided to suspend future game sales of the PC version while we work to address these issues to satisfy our quality standards. We greatly value our customers and know that while there are a significant amount of players who are enjoying the game on PC, we want to do whatever we can to make the experience better for PC players overall.
Thank you to those players who have already given valuable feedback. We are continuously monitoring all threads posted in the Official Batman: Arkham Knight Community and Steam forums, as well as any issues logged with our Customer Support (http://support.wbgames.com/). If you purchased your copy of the game and are not satisfied with your experience, then we ask for your patience while these issues are resolved. If desired, you can request a refund at https://help.steampowered.com (Steam refund policies can be found here: http://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds) or the retail location where you purchased the game.
The Batman: Arkham fans have continually supported the franchise to its current height of success, and we want to thank you for your patience as we work to deliver an updated version of Batman: Arkham Knight on PC so you can all enjoy the final chapter of the Batman: Arkham series as it was meant to be played. |
Unexpected but damn good news. If they are willing to cut off all future sales on the platform until it's fixed to satisfactory state, it's a sign that they really are taking this shit serious.
Guess that means the 12 monekys are no longer on the WB call list.

satisfying their QUALITY STANDARDS?
they shipped a game like this and they claim they have quality standards. tee. fucking. hee.
this is worse than colonial marines. how long until we see lawsuits i wonder
either way, the first chance i get, im getting a refund if i can... and their suspend future game sales just seems to imply no more stock gets sent out.. still wont save the thousands of people who buy existing copies.
also.. *tinfoil hat* any one else think wb/rocksteady is getting people to bump up the steam review score? ive noticed a bit of a resurgence in positive reviews since yesterday... jus' sayin...
