May sound cheap but .. plants are a real good thing to give folks you care about .. its like giving them a feel good device they can watch grow for the rest of its life ..

take a really nice picture of you and your girlfriend arm in arm, hugging, smiling. go somewhere to let it be printed as a huge poster. buy a nice frame for it, put it in the frame and all. take her for dinner, make her feel really special, dont has to be dinner, go to a concert or even bar she likes, then when you get home make sure you have placed the poster somwhere visible so its the first thing shell see when you go in.
with presents i noticed its much better if you never say anything and then give it in a special way, not just heres your present.
Important with every girl, even if she says otherwise. You have to make her feel really special. you make her feel that she means everything to you.

what i hate about this is when u actually talk to your girl about it and its like, "oh honey you dont need to get me anything special, nothing more than 20 dollars, you know you re all i need"
and in the case u get her something 20 bucks worth she s like "so thats what i m worth to you, the absolute minimum???"
sheesh...best thing to get is some shiney ring, you can get some 50 cent ones outta these chewing gum machines and noone will ever see a difference, without a magnifying glass.
in fact, why not get her 40 of these rings for 20 dollars, she could wear another one every day.
