Is framerate the actual issue in this game though (I mean besides the lock). Stuttering and stability seems to be the main concern... I found it performing very well, other than that.
VRAM usage is a bigger concern. People reporting 6gb+ in some cases. Also frame rate is an issue too. A Titan struggles to keep 60 fps @ 1080p. SLI is broken too. Biggest shitshow in recent years.
Well, I was waiting for a crack, and now the game was "canceled", omg
BTW, I bet the game is very good, but everybody talk about frames rate? can't wait to test it.
So far, from pretty much all indications available, the game is meant to be fantastic. Many are calling it the best Batman game yet.. so yeah, the "game" seems very good, it's the "port" that is shite.
Just activated my Nvidia key and downloading. Just thought that after this bullshit noone would buy it anyway. Though now I consider I might be wrong as this is the only way to get the game for PC now.
But still will check out this abomination and if its unplayable I will wait for patch(es).
Got stable 60 fps on foot and 45-60 fps in car ( 2hr ingame)
i5 2400 OC'ed
8GB ddr3 @ 1600
asus gtx 970 black - OC'ed
@ fullHD + win7 on ssd
All highest except for gameworks
You are not wrong per se but things like stuttering which gets worse the more you play due to a severe memory leak and the highly jumpy FPS while gliding and driving make it pretty bad. I have a similar rig and get similar performance and have locked my framerate to 42 FPS because otherwise gliding and driving are too annoying.
But seriously this is the worst memory leak I have ever seen. The game fills out my 8GB of ram in a manner of minutes and then starts using the page file. I actually had to move the page file to my SSD to not have the game became a freezing and stuttering mess after 15-20 mins of playing.
I also tried to disable the page file to see what would happen and couldn't even get past the main menu. Got a low memory error and a total game lockup instantly after the loading screen. I actually had to sign out of windows to get back to desktop. The memory management here is a goddamn joke.
So if you have somehow managed to have a relatively stutter free experience do tell us about your magic.
Also apart from the abysmal port the game is very very good. Good time to be a console gamer I guess.
Have you guys considered the game might be too demanding because it's just ahead of this generation of GPUs? Considering all the tech used, such as multivolumetric fog density polarity, triunilateral tri-mipmap texturing, anisomoronic filtering and fulltime precognitive AA (FPAA), I'm not surprised it runs like shit. Finally a dev has the balls to use advanced techniques, you guys bitch. PC master race my ass. Buy some proper PCs (in 2020)
And before someone starts screaming "but it runs good on PS4 lololol", yeah no shit Sherlock. Compare a fixed platform with top of the line HW to a multitude of PCs with mostly below average HW.

Anyone know how to get this trophy? When I drive on the pad it turns into a timed shooting gallery, but the time always runs out before I can shoot them all.

Hey dont be so hard the little console eunuchs, they need time to aim their lil vibratin thumbstick.
We have no way of knowing how large their porting budget actually was. Perhaps it was adequate but their (WB) management is incompetent and/or hired incompetent morons.
Now there's a suit you could make use of Batman, not like Oracle will be needing it either what with her condition.
Spoiler:
Seeing as she's dead, maybe.
(Storyline spoiler.)
(Certainly better than the New 52 and 2139 outfits at least, liking the minimalistic look of the Batman Beyond outfit though or what it was called but the proportions are a bit off, arms like a gorilla and thicker legs than Chun-Li from streetfighter...)

GAME employees have confirmed to Eurogamer that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight is now being pulled from shop shelves.
"We have the stock," one GAME employee said, "but I'm not allowed to sell it to you".
That smells so much like an actual callback that I'm slowly starting to think they won't fix this at all. They'll stay silent now and then pop up with an apology and statement of cancellation of the PC version, issuing refunds

Didn't Rockstar at some at some point spent 3 millions of bux for one of their GTAs DRM? I'd assume Denuvo's (considering how successful it was) licensing costs as much so it makes sense they outsorced PC port to some cheap studio from 3rd world country filled with newbie interns. Probably India haha.
If you had a choice what would you do:
- spend the PC budget for expensive but top-quality in-house PC port with no bux left for cool DRM afterwards
- spend half of it on Denuvo to "ensure the sales" and the rest what's left on the studio that will do pc port
